This is not a projection TV, it is a small 15", which I use as a second set, hence wanting to transmit a digital signal to the set from an AV sender / receiver. It worked well but I dissconnected it and took it to my caravan were I connected it to an aerial signal and didnt work.
When I came home and conected it up again it wouldn't work, just blue screen. All connections are fine I checked them more than once. No spillage occurred and i have now switched it off at the mains for 24 hours.

Hi

Please check the connections at the back if they are fine and all the cables are properly connected. The blue screen happens due to loose connections. You can also leave the TV unplugged for 2-24hrs which will reset the TV. If still you get the same issue then you need to check if there is any coolent spill on the board. If the TV is under warranty then it is always recommended to contact the manufacturer.

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assitance.

Thanks

    Hi!

First please press the P P button on the remote control 3 (three) times and it will give you access to the blue screen lock command. Then switch the blue screen lock off. This will remove the blue screen and the picture will be restored.

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.

    Thanks

    Hi

The TV defaults to a blue screen because it is not receiving any signals...due to it needing tuned to your local transmitter.
You need to get in to the installation/tuning menu and try to tune the channels. Also check for the signal cables coming from the AV reciever/cable box.

Try connecting your tv with a dvd player and check if that works with the player or still it shows the blue screen.

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.

    Thanks

Marantz NR1402 AV receiver Going to standby Mode

There could be a short in one (or more) of the speaker connections. Try disconnecting all speakers and turning on the receiver. If it still switches to standby, there may be an internal problem.

No audio after recording from sat. Reciever

Double-check your input cables from the receiver to the LG 389. Do you have the sat. receiver AV out connected to the front AV In on the LG DRT389? Make sure that you haven't mixed up the L and R audio connections on either side. (I've done something similar with RCA cables myself.) Next, try a different set of cables.

If that doesn't work, there may be a problem with the audio jacks on either your receiver or the 389. To check, plug the AV cables from the Sat. Receiver directly into the TV. If you have sound and video, then the input jacks on the recorder may be damaged.

Try using another input. (It looks like some models have the SCART input; you may need to set the input source in the menu under AV2 Decoder.)

The fact that you have audio output on USB and DVD's means that cables/connections between the LG289 and the TV are fine.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the details of which AV port you are using on the LG389 for additional assistance.

try setting your av signal selector to auto. if that daes not work go to your av set click on digital input setuo an make sure you have got one of your coaxial slots asigned to dvr1. you will get better sound by using a coaxial or optical hookup compared to hdmi. i've tryed both. hope this helps you , if it don't email me back at mirbrts5@bellsouth.net. i also has a ppioneer av reciever, so i've been through the same trile and errors

Black/Green Distortion - Picture Quality - Wharfedale

This is no solution but a point in a probable direction.

A tech guy told me ALL the LCDs they have seen in their repair shop have "swollen" capacitors, this is due to voltage instability. Lowering the internal voltage regulator and replacing the swollen capacitors (which eliminate noise) apparently restores the LCD to new working quality. Without actually "seeing" my problem the tech said that should repair it. I have not tried this yet but eventually will begin that way.
