I am afraid you will have to call in a qulified xerox technitian to reset the second bais transfer roll. It need to be done via a laptop connected to the m/c. The laptop needs to have a special program which only xerox techs. have in there possetion.

What does a second transfer bias roll do

It simply drives the transfer belt which is required to lay the image down on the paper.

Depending on which Xerox product you have would depend on whether a service tech is required to replace one that has failed or whether it is a roller that can be easily replaced by a non tech saavy individual.

I hope this helps...

How do I reset 2nd bias transfer roll for xerox 7556

On the 7556 and most other Xerox copiers, follow these steps to reset the counter. You do NOT need to call out a tech.

The supply life counters must be reset when some supplies are replaced.

  1. Log in as the System Administrator or Key Operator.
  2. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. The Machine Status screen will be displayed.
  3. Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen.
  4. Select the [Device Settings] button.
  5. Select [Supplies], and then under Features select [Supply Counter Reset].
  6. Select the required supply item, and then select [Reset Counter].
  7. Select [Reset] when the confirmation screen is displayed.
  8. Select [Close].
  9. Press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel. The Logout screen will be displayed.
  10. Select the [Logout] button on the Touch Screen to exit.

FAULT CODE 094-322. WHAT CAUSES IT AND HOW DO I GET RID IF IT?

ERROR CODE 094-322 RAP Second BTR Retract Failure

The error relates to the Second bias transfer roller not retracting. It could be a fault with the roller but i would open the transfer draw and check the connections and seating of everything and try it again. More often than not this clears the error.

Xerox DC3535 Color Copier

No unfortunatly. That is done in the diagnostic mode on the 3535, and that is propritary sofware where the diagnostics has to be accessed with a laptop that has that software loaded onto it.
There are some resets you can do, but they wipe out all the NVM inforamtion. Once those numbers reach a certain level, they have to be reset via a laptop.
Now that being said, once it is accessed, the service rep CAN change that threshold to a much much higher number so you can run the parts to failure, which is more realistic.
Those parts are very easy to replace. And can be purchased from a business called The Parts Drop, Google that business and talk to Britt. No I do not work there, but have dealt with them for years and they are very professional and exceptionally honest.
