My Samsung YP-S2 Mp3 player can't be recognised by computers when I plug it in through the usb input (it used to work), therefore I'm not able to upload music on it anymore. How can I fix this bug?

Samsung Player Is No Longer Detected By Windows XP, Vista, Emodio Or
Samsung Media Studio.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When your computer doesn't recognize your Samsung MP3 player, programs
such as Samsung Media Studio (SMS), Emodio, Windows Media Player
(10 or 11) do not allow you to transfer files to your player.
In SMS and Emodio, the portable icon appears grayed out.
In Windows Media Player, you are prompted to connect a device.
Your PC may fail to recognize your player for a variety of reasons.
To begin troubleshooting, scroll down, and then click the operating
system your computer is currently running.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
General Operating System Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Windows computers, Samsung MP3 players require at least Windows XP
Service Pack 2. If you have an older operating system such as Windows
2000 or Windows 98, your computer won't recognize your player until you
upgrade your PC to at least Windows XP Service Pack 2.
If your PC is running Linux or MAC, it will not recognize some MP3
players that support only MTP mode. However, it will recognize players
that support UMS mode and list them as mass storage devices.
The following Samsung MP3 players support UMS: YP-U1, YP-U2, YP-U3,
YP-U4, YP-U5, and YP-S2.
The following Samsung MP3 players support both MTP and UMS mode: YP-Z5
and YP-P3.
Windows Vista may fail to detect you device if the player is not
connected properly, Windows Media Player is not installed or has become
corrupted, Vista is unable to install the MTP drivers, or the MTP patch
is not installed.
You can check it out further by going to this website and entering the information about your player

My sandisk is not detected

This may be caused by one of the following: 1. Minimum system requirements were not met. 2. Corrupted drivers. 3. Computer restrictions. 4. Power issue.
Try the following solutions:
For brand new player or first time connecting to a computer.
If you are using XP : verify the following operating system requirements are met. - Windows XP SP2 or higher - Windows Media Player 10 or higher
Download and install the latest Windows Media Player if it's not installed.
If you are using Vista: If the player is seen in My Computer when using MTP mode, but not showing in Windows Media Player. - Download the hotfix from
--->> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939211. <<----- - Run the hotfix. Solve your MP3 Player Connection Problem.

My sansa mp3 player isn`t recognized by the computer

It may depend on your operating system, but there are known issues in vista. There is also a hotfix from microsoft. This is from the Sansa Website FAQs at http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_clip/faqs

My Sansa player is not recognized by my computer when I connect it.

The most common reason for this problem is not having the latest Windows Media Player installed, or having a Windows OS version that is not supported by the Sansa player.

The Sansa players support Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista and above. If your operating system version is supported by the Sansa player:

SOLUTION 1 – Download and install the latest Windows Media Player

SOLUTION 2 – If that didn’t help, and you are running Windows Vista, apply the following hotfix - KB940199

SOLUTION 3 – If that didn’t help, download and Install the MTP Porting Kit (click here)

SOLUTION 4 – If that didn’t help, try connecting the device to the PC using MSC mode

On the Clip: Go to Settings > USB mode & choose MSC

I hope this helps and please don't forget to rate my answer.

Sony NW-A3000 mp3 player not registering on sonicstage

I was having these problems with mine.  The first thing I tried was the reset button, it's on the back of the mp3 player and you need a safety pin or a sewing needle to push it in. Then I tried a different USB port. Problem solved.
