Have had printer continuously stop before job was done. Often I had to press "go" button to finish the printing job. The other day it went completely out--no lights or anything, then about 2 days later it decided to work on its own. Now it's been 3 days since it has worked--making this the 2nd time it's happened....

Start by pulling the paper tray out to stop further pages being printed without jamming the printer up.
Then go onto your print queue on your computer and delete the job that is printing 50 pages.
If it dissapears then put the paper tray back in and it may print out the last page or two that were in the printer buffer.
If it does not dissapear from the print queue then turn the printer off and try to delete the job again.
Once you have ordered the job deleted then you can turn your printer back on and put the paper tray back in and allow it to continue. It should only print out the last page or two and then the job will dissapear
The error light indicates something is wrong with the machine. The error light in combination with another light indicated that the problem lies with that item.
If there is an issue with a job not being able to be printed you can press the go button to allow it to continue (Normally happens if you send a job to the printer using paper other than what the printer has in it)

You need to reset the drum counter. Open the front door and hold the go button until all the lights flash. Shut the door, ready to print...If you press the go button 3 times it will give you a printout that shows the usage level of the drum.
disconnect the power and usb cable from the back of the printer and press and hold down the power button for 30 sec and then reconnect the cables and try again...open the backdoor and try to move the rollers in upward direction.
If you remove the drum unit and cartridge it will all come out in one go.
Open the right hand end. The black T700 cartrige will be seen and it looks as if it is screwed in. However it is NOT just get a firm grip and pull the entire unit out (It snaps in and is quite tight... keep pulling it will come and there are no clips to break as you pull)
As it is removed, all the paper will come out in one go. A bit daunting if you have not done it before. Refit is the exact reverse, push it in quite firmly and it will latch back in place with a pleasing clunk! Hope that helps.
