Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

  1. In My Computer, right click on the drive you want to AutoPlay (it will not display if it is not plugged into your computer) and select AutoPlay.
  2. Choose the best option for you and press OK. Remember, there are several options available, including playing Media Files, copying pictures to your drive or if you have a program installed that can AutoPlay (autorun) such as PortableApps.com Menu from PortableApps.com. If you need to reset your options, just follow these instructions again!

And that's it!

FOR WIN VISTA:

Windows Vista's AutoPlay options are a great improvement over Windows XP in terms of flexibility, but unfortunately there are so many options that it can be confusing, especially since there's no specific mention of USB Flash drives in the options.
Open your Control Panel, and then click on "Play CDs or other media automatically" to open the AutoPlay dialog.

Im having problems with my plug and play and or autoplay, whenever I put in my memory card the options dont pop up but it is recognized.

There should be no problem if the options box does not pop up but the card is still recognized. However, if you want to see the options box, then follow the following procedure.

To fix this you will need to change your autoplay settings. If you are still running windows xp, then you need to go to microsoft and get this download. It is a program that will attempt to fix your autoplay settings. If you are running windows vista or windows 7, then you need to find your autoplay settings in the control panel to change your settings.

Hello. It sounds like your external hard drive has crashed, or is getting ready to crash. If you can back up your data, you should do it now. If not, you should get your drive to a professional as soon as possible.

I'll monitor this thread. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

C:application cannot run in win32 mode

I've ran across with this virus called UST Funny Scandal. Its actually a worm virus that spreads immediately on all local drives and it originated somewhere in Asia.

When using YM, it actually sends automatically to all your friends this certain virus program via PMs. And the behavior of your messenger suddenly becomes erratic.

NOD32 could actually help but for sometime after removing the pesky "autorun.inf" which is hidden, eventually your drive won't work the same as it was before.

Best solution for this is to download a program called NOOB Killer and run it. After running it restart your computer and you'll be fine.

Also, turn-off your autoplay so whenever you plug a flash drive infected with a virus it won't run automatically.

To turnoff autolplay:

Run the RUN Command and then type gpedit.msc ( .msc stands for Microsoft Console). After running it, click the Administrative Templates and then click the System folder on the right pane look for "Turn Off Autoplay" and double-click it. Click the radio-button "enabled" and from the drop-down list click "all drives" and click apply and ok and close the gpeditor.

Enjoy. =))

C-3000 RETRIVAL - any ideas?

Not sure about this one. From your description it sounds like your autoplay isn't working as it should but even if that was the case the camera should show up as an extra drive. Fixing the autoplay is no problem. If you pm me with your Email address I can send you the patch that fixes it. With windows Xp when you connect any media to the PC including a blank CDR the autoplay should bring up a box asking what you want to do with it. If it doesn't then the Autoplay is either off or needs fixing. Do you have XP service pack 1 or 2 or no service pack at all. Quite often upgrading to service pack 2 can mess with the autoplay feature. If you don't have either service pack then now would be a good time to update. Just installing the service pack can often fix numerous problems. To check which service pack you have just right click on the My Computer icon and select properties. Then look under where it reads System to see if you have any service pack.
