I believe this is what you are looking for: http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/5000070700.xml From a browser: Click on a link from a web page. From desktop icon: If you use an application frequently, you can create a shortcut on your desktop or in the Start Menu. Java Web Start may ask if you would like to create shortcuts or an entry in the Start Menu. If you say "yes," all future launches of the application can start without a browser. From Java Application Cache Viewer: Java Web Start also provides an Application Cache Viewer which you can launch from the Java Control Panel. The Cache viewer enables you to directly launch applications that you have downloaded. Instructions to launch from Application Cache Viewer Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Double click on the Java icon. The Java Control Panel will start. Click on the General tab Click on the Settings button from the Temporary Internet Files section Click on the View Applications button Double click on the respective application from the list that you want to launch From command prompt: You can also launch an application from a command prompt by typing javaws jnlp_url where jnlp_url is a url to the jnlp file of the application. Go to Start > Run > type "cmd". A command prompt window will appear. Type "javaws url_of_jnlp"

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Lenovo quick launch has stopped working

Hello,
I suggest you uninstall Lenovo Quick Launch, reboot your PC and then reinstall it. I have included a link to Lenovo Canada where you can download the Lenovo Quick Launch software. Please also install any available updates for Windows - start-all programs-windows update.

CineDashMediaConsole.volume not working.

Cinedash FIX for Windows 7
This works to fix the CineDash Media Console!
I had the same problem with my Aspire 8920G
Now it works fine.
Getting the CineDash Media Console and Launch Buttons working
If you have problems with either the CineDash Media Console or Launch buttons then you will be happy to hear that the solution for fixing these is easy!
The first thing that you will need to do is install the “Launch Manager” which can be downloaded off the Acer website. Go to http://www.acer.com and click the service support, then driver download. Go to your model. Download the Launch Manager on the acer site. The filename should be “Kilimanjaro_v2.0.00_Vistax32×64_XPx32×64.zip” the version of Launch Manager under the Windows Vista operating system .This will get the Email, Web and Empowering Technology buttons working with their default settings. If you need to change what the buttons do, you can launch the application named “Launch Manager” in the start menu.
Uninstall any previous version of Launch Manager
The solution to my problem was to get the Launch Manager to run in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 2.
Unzip. Explore the new folder and right-click Setup.exe.
To do this go to the Launch Manager Install directory (C:\Program Files\Launch Manager ), right-click on “setup.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install. But don’t reboot yet!
Now locate and explore the freshly installed folder in your program files directory – (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Launch Manager or C:\Program Files\Launch Manager depending on if you are running 64-bit or 32-bit)
right-click on “LManager.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install.
Reboot and enjoy properly synced volume, and fully functioning buttons.

Unable to open backed-up files. Error code 10657

I got error code 10657 when I tried to open a file in Finder on the external drive that I had used for a Time Machine backup before I reformatted the hard drive of my MacBook. When I started Time Machine on the MacBook (with Leopard reinstalled) and went to the backup date that held the desired file, I was told that I needed to recreate the containing folder (or choose another location for the restore). I chose recreate the folder, and the restored file was available in the new folder without any further problem.
