If you want to have a dynamic IP at the remote site you can forget about it, I placed a support call to Nortel and they told me that even if the NAT traversal option is there in the BSR222 they do not support it!!!
I was able to use a bsr222 with a static ip accepting connection from linksys using dynamic, this works.
see some example doc at

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

How to change ip address

Method 1:
To release and renew your IP address:

Step 1
Go to "Start > Run" and type "cmd" (without quotation marks), then select "OK"
Step 2

Type "ipconfig /release" (without quotation marks) and press "Enter"
Step 3

Once the prompt returns, type "ipconfig /renew" (without quotation marks), then hit "Enter,"
Step 4

Last, type "exit" (without quotation marks) then press "Enter" to close the window.

you have a new ip address.

Method 2
It's simple to change the Ip-address..You can reset the modem or switch for a minute and the switch on it..Check the ip-address at if your ip address changed .It's Dynamic ip address ....You can change it many times by resetting the modem...Before changing check your previous ip ,so that you can know the difference. This is will not work if your ip address is a static ip address...Static ip will not change even if you reset the modem.

Method 3:
You can use proxy server or hide ip address software to change the ip address...But it's not legal to hide ip address always..It helps to hide your ip address from hackers..So whenever you need you can hide ip..Don't hide ip address always .. You can also display your ip from Canada using proxy, even if you are in USA.

Nortel 1050 and BSR222 VPN Connection

1.  What you have is a "software settings" in several  locations that require "exact entries".  Without us seeing what  "entries" are being asked by the programs or what data needs to be inserted by the routers at each location, there is no way anyone could possibly solve your problem long distance.

2.  The basic generic information was supplied to you at another website you visited but obviously did not help you.  I appreciate you having the confidence by asking anyone here to guide you but I think you need to have some one physically there to fix the problem.  If someone here knows the answer and can solve this problem by all means jump in.

3. My solution is for you to look in the yellow pages for your town where you live under "networks" or "computer networks".  Some one locally should be able to come out and solve this for you.  VPN networks at this level require a "hands on" solution unfortunately and not a "cook book" answer.  Get one field wrong, you will spend days troubleshooting it.

This is the best solution for your problem in this case.  Anything else would be a great disservice to you.

Check the IP segments. Your printer & your machine would be falling in the same IP segment as your job network. Change the IP segment of your pc & printer.

Make sure that the Active Directory setting for the User you are using to RDP with (LDAP FQN) has the remote access option turned on.

Also make sure that the PC's you want to access have static IP addresses. Not sure if that was mentioned.

Nortel Contivity VPN client?

Nortel Contivity will work with the your D-Link router, however its functionality depends on the authentication type (AH will not work), NAT compatibilty mode, and disabling keep alives on the server. Contact your Network Administrator to find out how your VPN is configured. Step 1 Verify that you are using the latest version of firmware on your router. Step 2 Login to the Web Management for your router by entering its IP address ( in your web browser. The default username is admin, and the password is blank. Step 3 Click the Advanced Tab to access the Virtual Server Settings. There is a list of pre-defined Virtual Server Rules towards the bottom of the page. Find the IPSec Rule. Click the pen and paper icon to edit its settings. Enable the rule, enter the IP address of the computer attempting to connect to the VPN in the Private IP field, then Apply the changes. Step 4 Create a new Virtual Server entry. Name the Virtual Server, "NortelVPN". Enter the IP address of the computer attempting to connect to the VPN in the Private IP field. For the Protocol Type, select Both. Enter 9550 for both the Public and Private Ports. Set the Schedule to always, then Apply the settings. Step 5 Access the Tools Page, then click the Misc button. Disable IPSec Pass-through, then click Apply. If the VPN Server is properly configured to work with clients behind NAT routers you should be able to connect to the VPN.
