Question about Gateway MX3701 PC Notebook
My laptop is Gateway model mx3701 windows xp media center, when I attempt to install windows 7 the dvd is not reconized. I downloaded and unzipped the setup more than once and burned 3 different DVDs with nero believing perhaps that would help, without success. Instead of presenting the installation options after rebooting before xp loads, it opens on the desktop after windows xp has started.
Do I need to have BIOS options to be changed to something other than the default settings for the Setup to begin at rebooting, or is there something more I need to do?
Thanks, :) I'll appreciate helpful suggestions very much!
In bios you need to change the boot sequence making your DVD drive 1st on the list. Once you do this save & exit. Then put the setup dvd in & reboot. Good luck & hope this helps you out.
