My Kenmore front loading washer machine is leaking. I open the front bottom panel and watched it during a washing. It seams to be leaking from the bottom of where the to halves of the tub(?) come together....

Hopefully its leaking somewhere else and just running down and dripping off the seam between the two halfs. If the seal between the two tub halfs is actually leaking you would have to completely dissassemble the unit very BIG job. Maybe take off the top lid and watch it operate hopefully you will find the leak up top...Good Luck

Washing machine lid switch is not functional

Good day,
There are 3 different versions, so you will need to have the model number, or the whole assembly before you go to the parts house. It is made by Whirlpool, you do not have to go to Sears if it's a hassle.
As well, the screws holding the top console down are in 3 different locations, Bottom front ends, bottom front ends, but covered by plastic caps that have to be unclipped first for access, and lastley, bottom back ends.
Here's a tutorial to help.....

Spin cycle is not working

one possible problem the lid swicth might have broken but if you hear a moter noise when it trying to spin the swictch is ok you can verify
if washing machine agitates during wash cycle
if no agitation newer design has a drive coupling between moter and transmission lean machine back
you will find debries center of machine about 8 inches back usually black rubber the drive coupling
has 3 pins on each outside peice that fit into the center bushing lean machine back have second person for safety unplug machine to change drive coupling there are two clips that hold pump to top of moter remove clips slide pump off shaft remove two screws from top of pump clips unplug wiring harness
undue clips remove moter drive coupling peices can be remove by pulling or can use large flat blade and work from oposites sides till plastic parts come off
reassembly place outside parts one on transmission one on moter install center part on transmission side
line up pins from moter to line up with 3 holes in center part normally top clip i install first so gravity assist with install of bottom clip reinstall screws plug in harness line up pump with moter shaft and reinstall clips run check if no noise from moter when lid is closed then lid switch might be bad the new style of washer is front serviceable there are two screws bottom outside corners of panel remove
light pressure pull panel forward then lift is hinged at
top back roll back there are two brass clips catch front of clip with flat blade screw driver and move top of handle toward back of machine clip will pop off wiring for lid switch on top of case needs to be unplugged outside case will tilt toward you then can be lifted off alignment tabs at bottom front there are two screws where lid switch is held to top of case can be seen when case is removed good luck ron

Leaks water when washing from the door

It's because of a hole in the door seal body. The water runs down inside the machine and comes under the front of the washing machine

For this first unplugged and then take the top off the washer and there is usually a nut and bolt to undo which is holding a clamp band round the door seal fixing it to the tub.
many cases where the water runs down from the bottom of the door but has in fact come from the soap dispenser but the leak was coming from the door.A thin line of water trickles from the soap dispenser and runs round the door frame to appear as a door seal leak. Make sure this isn't the case.
Thanks.
Kevin

Lid switch replacement

Some washing machines have the bolts that hold the top down situated behind the front panel but you have to remove the panel to gain access.
There may be 3-4 screws at the bottom of the front panel, remove the screws and the panel should come out.
Hope this has helped

Kitchenaid topload washer about 3 yrs old, started leaking from bottom, front. Checked hoses at faucet and washer, all tight no leaks there. Seem to be coming from under the front lower lip of washer.

it's the pump. release the control panel and flip back on hinges. pop the retainer clips and unplug the lid switch harness on top. pull entire white part of cabinet back and up..pump is front center.

Water Leak Top Load Maytag Washing Machine

you have a leaking "injector sleeve". you need to remove the 2 screws that hold on the front panel ( they are at the bottom) once you remove them, pull the panel outwards, towards your knees. it will release. on both sides in the top you have 2 bolts, remove them, it think they are 3/8ths. on the left if you have a bleach dispenser, remove that hose before you lift the lid. Once the lid is up you will see the injector area on the top left at the side. Hope that helps

Leaking

You will need to determine where the leak is coming from, you will need to remove the front panel to investigate, using a flat blade insert between the joint on the top and front panel approx 4" in from each side to release the clips, the top cover will now lift and hinge at the back. Remove two front panel screws, which are now accessible and remove the front panel by lifting off the bottom clips.
You should now be able to see where the leak is coming from and repair as necessary. If you put the top down you can run the machine without the front panel.
The sqeeking could be a wet drive belt.
