Monitor says no signail I have an emachine 2008 EL1200-06w, screen says no rgb signal, harddrive won't power on at all, i connected blue monitor cord to other running tower, and screen is on now. So it's the motherboard, not the monitor; i opened it up and the caps look fine and not raised up or leaking. I just bought new power supply, and it's in the wall, not power strip. There's no video card either. Any suggestions?

Press the computer's power button.
Check the LEDs on the front of the computer case to confirm

Plug the eMachines monitor's power cable into a working AC outlet.
Press the monitor's power button.
Check the LEDs on the front bezel or power button of the
eMachines monitor to confirm that the monitor receives power.

if the monitor led indicator is amber and and the hard drive (usually red) indicator on computer is blinking red. that means your computer is working but onboard video is dead. if under warranty, bring it back for replacement or repair.
Did you remove the CMOS battery and move the jumper on the systemboard to clear the CMOS? After a few minutes or so, put the jumper back and power on the machine. If it powers on fine, you can turn it off and put the CMOS battery back in.
Could be a video card failure or a cable problem. This could also happen because the motherboard failed if you have integrated video. Unfortunately your going to have a tech onsite to repair the issue. That is, unless you want to install your own video card which would probably fix the issue.
