How do I cable this connection please?

It depends what input connection the second TV has available. You cannot directly daisy chain HDMI cable from Apple TV to the two TVs assuming both have HDMI input. But you can purchase an HDMI 1x2 splitter and connect the 3 up provided the 2nd TV also has HDMI. The challenge maybe the distance you can have between the two TVs. Max is 15 meter but you could cascade 2 units to create longer distances.

When your notebook computer is connected to an HDMI device, you may encounter certain display and sound issues. For example, if you have your notebook computer connected to an LCD TV and/or surround sound speakers with a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) cable as part of a home theater system, you may encounter some common HDMI display and/or sound issues such as the following: If you are experiencing one of the following issues, click the link to go directly to a section of this document for a resolution. If you are experiencing an HDMI display or sound issue that is not listed above, please contact HP for assistance. Set HDMI sound output c02654744.gif Make sure that HDMI device is enabled and selected. To make it the default sound playback device, select ATI HDMI Output and then select Properties . The HDMI cable must be connected when it is configured. Use correct HDMI cable for your HDMI device There are three types of HDMI: 19-pin (normal head), 19-pin (small head), and 29-pin. If your computer and HDMI device use different cable types, adapters are available. For more information, see HP Notebook PCs - Overview of HDMI and DVI Connections for PCs . Content protected error message If you are playing an HD DVD on your notebook computer while it is connected to an LCD TV with an HDMI cable, you may see an error message that reads, The content is protected. To resolve the issue, click to accept the message when prompted, and the movie will play. images do not display properly When the notebook computer is in HDMI mode, images sometimes are distorted or do not display at all. Surround sound option is unavailable First, confirm that your notebook recognizes HDMI audio by right-clicking the Volume icon in the Windows system tray and selecting Playback Devices . If you do not see HDMI Output then you may need to reinstall or update your audio drivers. Also, make sure your notebook's BIOS is up-to-date. When using WinDVD to play a movie after selecting HDMI as the default audio output, the surround sound option may be unavailable. To resolve this issue, please update to WinDVD version 9.0 or later at the HP Software & Driver downloads page . If you are using the MediaSmart program, make sure you are using the latest version. +I have a dell 4600, it came with a geforce fx5200 graphic card, i need a vga and a hdmi coneection, my monitor is vga and i want to hook up a tv monitor with hdmi

Dear civetscat,

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

I have research these converters/adapters before that can convert from the DVI port on the video card to an HDMI source. They are very exspensive for the type that truely work, and the cheap ones provide terrible graphics. Your best bet, is to research both the adapter and a replacement video card for your PC that will have the HDMI and VGA outputs you seek.
I have provided links to both below, from a site call newegg.com

Adapter/Converter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=DVI+to+HDMI+converter

Replacement video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161308

Happy hunting and have a great day!

No audio from pc connected using hdmi

Are you not getting audio to the television speakers and the onkyo reciever speakers when connected HDMI thru the reciever or just the television. If it is just thru the television then it is because the reciever is grabbing the HDMI audio signal and converting it so it does not reach the TV. If it is both then try changing the HDMI signal output from PCM to DOLBY DIGITAL on the computer. Your reciever may not be able to process the PCM signal of the computer. Does the reciever show a PCM or DOBLY DIGITAL display when HDMI is hooked up to it?

Connecting an LCD TV to a computer to use as TV and Comp. Monitor.

Im no expert on the subject, but I use my L37 for a monitor, and use just the vga adapter. It works good as a monitor, and both dvds and my hdtv wonder tuner card look great through the vga connection. They do make adapters for dvi to hdmi. Although, hdmi also carries sound, but you wont get that out of your dvi output from your card. So you might not have sound when using that connection, as your tv may not look to the headphone type jack used for sound imput from your computer when you select the hdmi source on it. If you have speakers already connected to your computer you may not care. Also if you have a 720 p Vizio, 1366x768 is the highest resolution you are going to get out of it anyway, if I'm not mistaken. I'm Not sure why you would need 2 connectios to the same monitor either. I posted 1 link below because they had several dvi to hdmi adapters. Hope that helps.

I am using an HDMI cable on my STR-DG710 and get no sound

A lot of devices like PS3, HD DVD Players, Cable boxes, etc., require you to define on the setup menu if sound will be coming out of the HDMI cable or not. Most of these devices can be set to HDMI Auto, but not all of them do.

I currently have both my Blu-ray and HD DVD player outputting both video and sound through my HDMI into my STR-DG710. Both devices are setup to output sound through the HDMI.

But like the other person on here posted, it you have a DVI to HDMI cable, you won't be getting sound. The only device that will output sound from a DVI to HDMI are select computer graphics adapters like the GeForce 9800 GT series video cards, and even not all of those will have this feature.

Hope this helps.
