Question about Toshiba Satellite 220CDS PC Notebook
I just got this laptop and I dont see an on/off button. Where is it located?
The on/off button is on the left side back corner, beneath the left speaker. There is a cover which slides toward the user, and the button is somewhat recessed.

I used to have a similar model of this laptop.. in 1995. The power button for mine was on the right hand side (the same side as the CD drive) and almost directly underneath the outermost edge of the LCD screen. It was oblong and had three raised dots on it. It may be on the left side as well, I'm not entirely familiar with this particular model. If you have already found this button and pushed it, it could be that the battery is dead (as I'm sure the battery in such an old laptop died long ago), or that something is wrong with the switch. Try it on an AC adapter and see if you have any luck.
