Saeco: grinder stops grinding

Hello. I have a saeco rondo. I currently will only grind for about 1/2 second and then stops grinding and the red flashing warning light starts to flash. If I turn the machine off and back on again, the light stops flashing but the same problem happens when I hit the brew button again. I pulled out the top ceramic grinder and vacuumed out the grinder area. No improvement. Thanks in advance!!!! Dave

Hello, This may be the solution for you: having removed the ceramic grinder to clean out the unit, one of the wires on the grinder had become removed (the "center wire") on the connector. The 2 outside wires were sufficient to give me the illusion that the grinder was connected correctly, however it would only run for a half second and then coast to an annoying stop.

Check all 3 wires that connect to the grinder and make sure they are making contact.

I have a saeco royal my machine is grinding beans but will not stop

Your question is not right.
Grinder stops on its own in 16 to 18 seconds (times out).
It may not be grinding beans an spinning free because the beans are not feeding.
You may have used oily beans or set the grind fineness at very fine powder like. This powder like fineness also clogs the grinder..
You need to clean the grinding chamber and the ground coffee outlet.

Saeco Incanto Rondo right red light is on and I cannot make coffee. The machine grinds the beans but does not dispense any coffee.

Try to set the machine to grind finer. Common problem with this machine when the grinder grinds too coarse, and the coffee will not fit in the brew unit during the cycle. Grinding finer will allow the brew unit to compress and the machine should complete the cycle.

If this does not work there may be another thing to try, Let me know support@cerinicoffee.com

I have to put on or run the grinder system more than one time in order to complete the grind cycle. I have to restart three or four times to turn off the red light. What to do to fix the problem

It might be a question of age. The Saeco has a ceramic grinder (instead of steel), and this may simply have worn down over time with use. Is it more than a couple of years old?

If it is older, then you can either accept this, restarting the grinding several times; or you can send it in for servicing. (Be aware that a brief look on Google revealed that there are some people who are very unhappy with Saeco's service department!) Besides sending it to Saeco, there are quite a few other authorized service centers. Just Google "Saeco Easy Espresso service".

If it's not that old - and you're still covered by warranty - then you should contact Saeco.

Finally, don't necessarily trust the red light. I would visually examine the grind, and count how many seconds of grinding it takes before your grind looks & feels right. If this works for you, you can just put a piece of black tape over the light & ignore it, and run your grind for however long it takes to meet your satisfaction.

Saeco machine grinder

Due to the use the grinding burrs are slightly move and wire out. So I advice you to move only one max two step to more fine coffee grinding from the one you have and try the coffee.
The test you have to do is that for about 30 cc of coffee the time that the coffee will run should be about 20 to 22 seconds. If the coffee more faster you need more fine grinding. If the coffee run more slower than 28 sec you need more gross coffee grinding.
Good luck

Ave an SAECO INCANTO RONDA with milling problems.

You can turn the grinder (mill) so the plates open for a more gross coffee this will help the grinder motor to rotate more free you can use a vacume cleaner to **** all the remainig coffee inside the grinder. If still not any reaction you have to desasemble complete clean the grinding plates. If you still not have any reaction then the grinder motor burn out and need to bee replaced.

I have a Saeco Incanto Rondo with a grinder related problem

First step.If the grind is to coarse the burrs will spin to fast sensing no beans.
Solution: The grind needs to be finer. Caution you can over adjust causing the clay burrs to shatter.

Hi,

I think you have to take it to a Saeco service center, they have to upgrade your power board in the machine.
