The ideal sollution is to fully service the machine but there may be a quick fix.
remove the 4 screws that hold the black plastic handle assembly, and take the handle off. on the top of the drill you will see an oil filler cap. unscrew using a 10mm allan key.
empty out any old oil. rinse out with some parafin if you like. empty out again . put some new oil in and replace the cap. 50cc of transmission fluid / power steering oil will do the trick. if this dousnt fix it then you will need to replace the o-rings on the pistons, if this is the case, drop me a email and I will send you a parts diagram. paul@wysehire,gi
good luck.

I have a hilti te52 and they were pounding a ground rod in with it and the end in the chuck mushroomed over and now we cant get it out what do we do.

the only thing you can do is try and tap the hammer away from the ground rod. they make a ground rod adapter for this instead of just inserting it in the tool. If this doesn't work you will have to remove the nose and the striker and then drive the ground rod out of it.

Will hammer but not drill model te52

If it drills in the air but stops when you put it into concrete then the clutch is worn out. If it will not turn at all it could be stripped gears. Unfortunately Hilti no longer carries parts for that model.
