Question about Sanyo Xacti VPC-E1 Camcorder
My SANYO Xacti VPC-E1 camcorder has a "split screen" problem. It happens when I turn on the camera and the image appears wobbling. I have tried to fix the problem by switching the camera on and off for several times, and sometimes the problem has gone away. But when I stop using the camera for a long time, the problem appears again. So, is this a multifunction or just a simple set up problem?
You can buy a new LCD and flex cable for $78 at the place Sanyo recomended to me. It takes a week for them to order it and a week to ship out. Call 1-800-421-5080 and give them part # 6450930331.
Mine has the same problem. I took it apart and by pressing on the flex cable my picture was restored. As soon as I let go the screen would go. Trying to decide between replacing the part or the camera.

Possibly get a new ribbon cable for the LCD that connects inside the main body
