Temp setting too low for high humidity. Turn up temp. this allows the unit to stop cooling intermitently so the ice doesn't build up unless it is runs constantly. Good luck

My jonstred chain saw has no choke lever

Ian Duncan...

I have no idea if you are bragging or complaining...

I WILL TELL YOU ... I have started many many a chain saw... and the chokes are nearly useless...

FIRST RULE: always use only fresh fuel...!!

Proper sequence for an ice cold saw (optimal adjustment)...
- squish the fuel bulb a couple of times
- set the choke
- couple of yanks until it coughs...
- completely release the choke and the next yank will get you running

If you have NO CHOKE... JUST leave the THROTTLE ALONE
until it coughs... Then start juicing the throttle...

What's a jonstred? Oh... Jonsered

Snow thrower starts then shuts down after a few minutes

Hmmm... THAT sounds like you have an obstruction (ice???) in the fuel line or in the bottom of the tank.

Fridge/freezer works fine but a squiling sound is coming from the fan in the freezer, but only when its not running

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
This usually happens, if there is excess choking from ice in the evaporator coils...The excess frosted ice in the chamber extends to the evaporator fan, thus trying to choke/stop the fan... Whenever the fan gets start pulse from the controls, it hurdles the movement and the noise comes. Remove the blockage to the fan (if any), else you need to change the fan motor bearings...

Best of Luck,

The fan is producing continuous sound. looks like the fan is not rotating. It stops for a while and then, in couple of minutes, it starts again.

Freezer not freezing properly, ice on back wall

Ice on the back wall indicates a problem with the defrost cycle. The ice builds up and starts to choke off the air flow, so your symptoms would indicate that may be happening.

Defrost problems are usually any of the three components, the heater element, the defrost termination temp switch, or the defrost timer.

Why will a room air conditioner ice up and can I fix the problem?

Freon leak, How new is it. If you still have a warranty take it back and have them replace it. If it is not under warranty you can try a few tricks. Clean the outside coils with a strong blast of water with the unit off and make sure the filter is cleaned

If the fill tube gets choked up with ice, (Figure S-4) it usually means that the water fill solenoid valve is leaking. The valve is not closing properly and is dribbling water. If the leakage is slow enough, water may freeze in the fill tube. Over time it will freeze the tube completely shut.
