Question about Danby DDW1805W Designer Series Free-Standing Dishwasher

Portable Dishwasher Faucet Adapter Comes Apart

I have a Danby DDW1805W portable dishwasher. Today when I tried to connect it to the sink, the spring inside the adapter came out. I'm not sure how to put the spring back in and which way the plastic piece fits back on.

The manual isn't very helpful and doesn't even show a close-up photo/drawing of the adapter for me to use trial and error to fix it. All the pieces are still here and in-tact--I just can't figure out how to pop them back together. Thanks!

I finally got to really look at the dishwasher. I don't see any metal balls, but there are holes where they probably used to be. They weren't there when I bought the dishwasher used. However, I believe I have all the other pieces. I've attached a photo. Any suggestions you can give would be great!

    Thanks!

Thanks. I didn't see the image uploader button when I commented last night. However, after speaking to a Danby Service Rep, I need a new adapter anyway. It looks like I unknowingly purchased the dishwasher off Craigslist with the parts missing. It's always a risk in getting something cheap online.

I was able to order the part, which is scheduled to arrive in two weeks. Thank you for giving me the numbers. The Danby reps were very polite and helpful.

Hmm, I don't see an image if it was attached. Also, I'm not sure how your hose could grip onto the faucet if the metal balls are missing.

You could try calling to see if you can order just the attachment part as it looks like you can screw the hoses onto a new one. When I needed a new basket and soap dispenser we eventually got the parts from the contact below which was the number a Danby customer service rep told us to call. Be for-warned though, I hand-washed my dishes for 6 months while the soap dispenser was on backorder.

I had a look at mine, and there is a metal wire wrapped around the top of the attachment that keeps the plastic piece and the spring from coming off. Do you still have the metal wire in place - just above the 4 metal balls?

Hello there:
you are going to want to make sure that the threads on the hose match the faucet and also make sure that the gasket is in place you might even need to get a adapter for the unit to hook up to the faucet.
i would consult the manufacture or the users guide for further help

Faucet connection

You only need to put back on the steel clamp that fits over the assembly which holds down the shield, the spring, and keeps the 4 ball bearings in place. The ball bearings may be tricky though as they tend to fall out when your putting the assembly back together.
