Check your speaker connections, you've got a short. Check for loose tape on any connection. Fairly common problem. If your unit is Code Protected.. Try entering the code first, If you have a code, keep it handy, any time you jump start or loose power to the radio, it needs to be re entered before it will work again. Hope this helps

KDC-MP2032. Why is PROTECT being displayed?

Look to the right of the SRC button in the corner, and you'll see a small button that you can press with a pen tip or paper clip. This is the reset button, and pressing it will turn off the protect mode. If it keeps coming back, there may be a wiring problem, or the head unit may be defective.

You might try disconnecting the memory wire and doing the reset again. If your head unit is not where u can access the wiring harness, you can disconnect the battery. This should clear any settings you have in the radio. Of course it will require resetting the clock, stations, etc...

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP2032 installed in a boat. I changed the battery in the boat and now I can't get the tuner to power on. If I need to replace a fuse, where are they and what size fuse do I...

Try to check first the fuse on the fuse box of your boat if it is still good then the fuse of your stereo is located at the back of the stereo itself. Detached the stereo from its housing or holder you will see the fuse at the back of it.

We disconnected my car battery, how do I get the time to show on my Kenwood KDC-MP2032 again? Thank you!

Press and hold the right control knob in like a button. 'disp sel'. Release. Move control knob left or right to select clock. Tap control knob to select and exit. You will need to do this for each source (Standby, Tuner, Aux etc).
