Question about D-Link 802.11g Wireless Router WBR-1310 (WBR1310)

XboxLive problems with my D'Link WBR-1310 router?

For the most part, XboxLive runs smoothly and I can connect with most of my friends for any games that I play. But I consistently have issues connecting to certain friends, even though my NAT type is supposedly set to open. I'm thinking that configuring the router to UPnP would take care of any connection problems, if it's possible for the WVR-1310, but I have no idea where to start; or if I have to specifically open ports, which I also don't know the first thing about doing. Can someone please help?

Yes it will be better if you reset the router and reconfigure it back, To reset it just use a pen or paper click to press and hold teh reset button for 10 seconds then power off the router for 10 seconds and power back on and after that if you have the setup CD of the router just run it to reconfigure it back.

I would try one or both of the following:

1. Update any drivers or software for the D-Link router.
2. Update the firmware of the router (see page 38 of the user manual for instructions to do this). -- you can download the manual at http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=WBR-1310&rev=WBR-1310 if you dont have it.

Hope this helps.

I am using a dlink wbr-1310 and am able to detect the wireless connection via my HP running vista. Recently had a friend come over and her Vaio running windows xp was NOT able to detect the wireless...

Your friend need to clear her wireless connection so she can connect to yours. Look at the lower right corner on her screen and see the flashing TV screens for the wireless connection. Right click on the icon and click repair. She might have to reboot and then she should see your wireless network and connect as you do,

WIFI & WBR 1310

Fix your router again. If the wifi is fine, you just have to let the nintendo search for the wireless network and connect to it. You don't have to do anything on the router to let your nintendo to connect.
