Why my washer just make a humming noise but do not run

You could have a broken motor coupling or A loose or worn drive block. Would have to be taken apart to determine exactly the cause.

I just moved into a new apartment and used a moving company to help me with my move. that included my washing machine. i just went to turn it on to do a load and it won't start. i hear a humm noise but...

Hi
Make sure the water taps are turned on. The humming sound is most likely from your inlet solenoids.

Check both the hot and cold water inlet hoses going to the back of your machine. Make sure they are connected properly and that the water is turned on.

If still no joy let me know and I will guide you through more trouble shooting items.

Leaks when filling

It could be a swollen impeller inside the pump causing it to wear a hole in the plastic housing and making the humming noise .It,s fairley easy to replace as it clips on to the end of the motor.Hope this helps.

A humming sound in the cycle knob

Make sure that the room is quiet then check that there is a clicking noise from the lid when it is nearly closed

If not then the microswitch is out of whack and needs adjusting

When you slam the door down it is probably enough to make the switch but then the machines movement will undo that action

Will not fill with water

It sounds like the pull-out switch, under the pull-out knob, is not working and may need replaced. Go to Repairclinic.com and type in what your washing macine is not doing and they will give you hints on what to do next. But, it sounds to me like that is what is wrong with your washing macine.
