i have a 50" plasma 50pg20. had it for a year. recently when i pull up the TV menu the icons are missing, the background color for the menu panels are blue and my optical audio output is static filled and broken. what can i do?

Sounds like a software or firmware issue...

- Im not sure, but you should be able to download an update from lg and save it to a flash drive. If the tv has the capability, which it should. Try their website and or call their tech support line about the issue to see what they say.Yes
