Dvd wiring diagram

I have a dvd player from a 2004 ford explorer and i am trying to put it in another vehicle. the part number on the back of the dvd player is 3L1J-10E947-AA. so far i have gotten it hooked up. it has power and plays dvd's but i am not able to use the remote and i can only get sound thru the wireless headphones. when i do something i like to do it right and want to finish this install. and help with wiring diarams for the ford would be great. i have them for the vehicle it is going into.

that sounds like it might work. but i think i might not ever get the full capabilities out of it. i am trying to put it in a dodge ram...i know right?...and my understanding of the dvd player is that it is part of a system...the stereo head unit being the main component. with that said i'm sure there is an interface somewhere that i would need to be able to fully operate the dvd player. does any of this make sense?

have you tried to get a Metra reverse harness for the 2004 ford explorer, I don not believe it was amplifies that year. That should give you: speakers, 12v, ignition, ground, dimmer and a few others.

SOURCE: car DVD player will only play sound through wireless headphones, not through speakers

We have a GMC Envoy which also does not allow us to play the sound from the dvd player through the car's speakers. Although we purchased the vehicle new with the dvd player already installed, it was installed by the dealer, making it after-market. I assume those that were installed in the factory work differently. Maybe this is the case with your's as well. Good luck!!

SOURCE: Installing an aftermarket head unit into a 1994 Ford Bronco

are you using and after market harness to go from your bronco to the harness to the new radio. if so make sure all the colors are matched up (e.i. purple to purple, purple/black to purple/black). did the speakers work before the aftermarket unit. Also check the wiring at the oem speakers

SOURCE: installing a DVD player in place of a Cassette deck

be careful guessing the wires you can buy a wire harness for this SUV and all wires are colour coded to your after market radio or DVD in-dash system all you do is match the colours........for your VHS player there should be two output RCA on the VCR unit run the RCA wires to your new in-dash unit plug it into the aux input of your new unit that will solve the whine (some gm models high-end mainly have security features built in to the factory radios this can cause airbags to deploy if wires get crossed wrong) buy a wire harness for $17.00 to avoid any costly problems
hope this helped

What is the plug wire diagram on coils for 2004 ford explorer 4.0?

if you haven't changed the coil, ford usually marks the towers with the the corresponding cylinder numbers on it. and the cylinders on the engine are marked: passenger side, 1-2-3, driver side, 4-5-6. there will be two nubers at each tower. the number closest to the tower will be that tower's cylinder.

2003 Ford Explorer CD Player (Single to 6 disc)

You will have to go to Best Buy, or whatever your nearest audio installation place is, and request wiring harnesses for the type of radio you are putting in, and also the type of vehicle, I believe you can put any aftermarket stereo in any vehicle, as long as it fits in the dashboard. Hope it helps.
