Ya sounds like your tuner is shot. if you can get a cable box from your cable provider you can use an hdmi or composite input rather than the standard coax. It would also give you a better pict.

ProView has a bad cable connection. Other tvs hooked to the same cable don't

It could be the tuner in the set is the problem--there is since the rear inputs work fine a way to "get around this".

Get a Cable box that has the audio/video outputs on the rear and connect to one of the rear inputs on the set--want to watch cable--go to that input and use the box to change channels.

If the tuner is bad you are likely going to have to replace the entire board it is on--not cheap.

The rear inputs bypass the tuner and all the signal circuitry from it.

Also if signal routed via rear jacks you should notice a better picture and sound quality.

I can't get the cable to come in clearly and I've tried all of the inputs. It is hooked up to a cable box and I just recently had a different tv hooked up to it and it worked so I know its not a problem...

If the cable direct to the tv is bad you probably have a low signal strength problem such as too many or poor quility splitters being used. It's only a 22" so take over to a friends house and see if the problem goes away.
Good luck

When using cable input video is good but sound has fuzzy static

Your TVs tuner tuned a little off frequency. It could be as simple as having cable box on where you have good picture but fuzzy sound, use the TVs remote to change the channel and then change it back to proper channel. If that doesn't fix you may have wrong tuning type selected in channel set up menu.

Cable on TV suddenly went to black & white (and a bit fuzzy)(some channels show faint colour). Was fine, nothing was changed, one day was suddenly B&W. TV screen is not the problem, all other cable...

Was playing around with the TV's menu and changed the Tuning Band from "HRC cable" to "IRC cable". Suddenly I have colour again. No one had adjusted any of the controls, so still not sure why one day it was fine and the next day it had gone to black and white, but changing the Tuning Band fixed the colour problem for me.

No owners manual can't get new blue ray dvd player to work on tv

Here is the manual:

When using the HDMI connections you may have to tell the DVD to output to that port.  Also you may have to connect additional sound cables from the DVD output to the TV.

Dell plasma 42 inch

fot the most part, you have solved your problem (pow bd), The main bd may also need to be replaced as well. The is a signal upon powering up the system. the pow bd communicates with the signal board. The signal bd, also is responsible for ALL of your additional I/O lines. Between the two of these, + a firmware update, i think the tv will be just fine.

Denon avr-1907 sound from TV stopped working

Help with hooking PS3 to a Denon Receiver. It worked before, but I had to move everything to a different location and when I hooked it back up the PS3 has sound but no picture. I have it hooked directly to the receiver with and HDMI cable (the receiver is hooked up to our cable box which is directly hooked to the tv via HDMI cable).

One fuzzy Tv one works fine

Okay, we work with what we have available to us but the screw on connectors are...... Try reversing the splitter so the single port faces away from the line that runs into the back of tv2 and connects to the the line from outside. Also check to ensure none of the wire braid has come into contact with the center conductor- copper wire, stinger. I do not know how you prepared the cable so I will say that the white dielictric should be cut squarely and terminate flush with bottom of the connector seat. The diagram is a cut away view and is very crude but I think you can garner the idea. If you need more assistance let me know.
