I had the Same issue. on a 50PF9431D/37 set. Many Plasma Set's use a LJ44-00118A PS-505-PH Power supply from Samsun. Know to have this common problem. If you can, or have a friend that can Solder components?. Unplug your set remove the back panel & locate your power supply. It will be the PCB in the center of the set just above the Video/Audio conections. http://www.shopjimmy.com/power-supply-unit-lj44-00118a-from-philips-50mf231d-40.htm. Link to a photo of the PCB. Make a note of the location of all cable connections then unplug them all. Un-install PCB, Check a Fuse first. I believe their is 5 or 6 of them on the PCB. Then replace the two 3300uf 10v 105C Radial capacitors at C8060 & C8059. The location of the caps are in the Lower bottom edge of the PCB. A local shop may Carrie them if not, digi-key has them. Part # http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=493-1754-ND. Total cost was $7 with S/H.

I have a 25" Zenith

You will need to replace 4 capacitors. Locations and values are C 3460 which is a 25 volt 220 Mf capacitor, CX3218 at 160 volts at 1 Mf (could be 2.2Mf), C3416 at 25 volts 100 Mf , and CX 3413 at 50 volts 22 Mf. In severe cases you would also replace the powerling regulator,(STR-53041) I don't think you need to in this case. Now the green spot you speak of may be the need to resolder the thermistor. I don't recall the exact location. It is a small disk located on the edge of the main board near the power board connection( Your 110 power cord to board). I also believe there is a glass fuse near by. This is a two legged disk that is silver. Take care when soldering this. If it does break you may replace this with an RCA part# 207768. And lastly, when replacing the board back into the TV, make sure you have a good connection to the CRT with the suction cup. It should be tight fitting with no air to escape! Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

My zenith big screen tv won't come on model pvr5263dt

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. This might have happened due to over-voltage. Please check the power supply unit for swollen capacitors and burnt wires/components on the power supply board of your TV. You should try and turn off the TV for 8-10 hours to reset it. This issue might have occurred due to blown pico fuses located on the D-Board or due to blown fuse on the power supply board.

Please do rate the solution & revert for further assistance.

Thanks
