My 8625 just stopped working and won't restart. Is there a reset button on this model? Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. Turned out there was a plug of cat hair in the hose. Removed it and then couldnt find the reset button. The solution was here- thanks! Our reset button is white, right near the instructions on how to resolve heat overload.

Why does the riccar vacuum reset button not depress?

In my experience the Riccar requires reset when it has ingested something that jams the roller such as the fringe of an Oriental carpet. Be sure to clear any such obstruction, then I use a ball point pen to press the button. It does not move very far to accomplish a reset.

Get a new belt. If that doesn't take care of it, replace the rubber motor mount and metal pivot. Your vacuum is probably close to 20 years old and has some worn parts.

Reset button power

Reset switch is located on the back of the vacuum and close to the back wheels.Press a reset switch a few times and vacuum should start. Check also cord plug . Many times metal prongs are broken at the end of the cord (usually one of them)

How do I replace the belt on my ricaar model 8750 vacuum?

Remove the bottom plate to access the brush roll. Remove the brush roll to install a new belt. Your
model is over 20 years old. If it has never been Professionally serviced it may be wise to take it to a Riccar dealer for service. It could add many more years of life to your vacuum.

Hello,

If you look down at the base of th vacuum cleaner at the vacuum bottom in the back, right above the rear wheels, you will see a small red button. Take a ball point pen, and while the vacuum is plugged in, go ahead and push the red button or the reset switch. Did the vacuum come on?

If not, it may another simple problem of the cord/ plug going bad.

I think if it just stopped workint all or a sudden, it's prbably the reset switch.

Where is the reset button on the Riccar 8995

The reset button on the Riccar 8955 is located on the back of the vacuum cleaner, at the very bottom, right above the rear wheels. You can push the reset button with a ball point pen or something similar.

Yes, the Riccar 4812 does in deed have a reset switch. Unfortunately some dishonest repair man will tell you at this point that your motor has gone, but 7-10 times it's the reset switch.
