Question about Washing Machines
Your agitator has a set of 4 dogs that propel the upper portion of the agitator. Over time the face on those dogs gets smooth and will not engage the inner walls of the upper agitator. The part number is 80040. Not very hard to repair. Get the top off and the seal so that you can access the nut holding the agitator in. Remove that nut and the agitator can be removed. Sit the agitator on the floor and hold it down with your feet. Grab the upper portion and snatch it away from the lower portion. Replace those dogs.
