I have a Yamaha DGX - 220 Keyboard. I was messing around with the regist memory buttons. I couldnt figure out how to get it back to the normal setting, so I turned it off. When I immediately turned it back on again, there was a buzzing/cracking sound coming from the speaker. This sound is here even when the volume is all the way down. Help!

Check to see if the unit can have the electronics reset to factory defaults. Look in manual or go to web site for help.

SOURCE: Roland keyboard. Extremely static-y speakers. Cuts out.

It sounds like your volume slider is dirty. Try carefully and judiciously spraying a good quality contact cleaner into the slider and working it. do not use a lot. It only takes a little. Also do not use WD40.

I don't have Cubase myself but there must be a track setting that allows you to monitor what you are playing live. Also make sure your keyboard shows up as the midi controller on the software. Your receive channel has to match the send channel of the keyboard. Make sure that synthA or synthB shows up as the sound source (audio out). XFi Midiport is your midi in but since Cubase already sees your keyboard your problem is an audio one not a midi one. Hope this helps.

Yamaha DGX 220 keyboard all E and Bb keys above middle C will not play

Try unplugging it and also remove batteries if it has any. Then plug it back in and everything should be back to factory settings. I don't know what to to beyond that.

Just a shot in the dark but a lot of keyboards allow for splitting the keyboard in half or even in quarters to assign multiple sounds... have you tried a total reset? Or explore the manual for setting up a split keyboard. Might help.

How do i reset the keyboard to factory settings? It sounds really weird right now

You can normally reset Yamaha keyboards by holding down the highest note while turning on. If you want to do a full factory reset see below - remember this may delete all songs etc you have saved to the keyboard memory.

Do you mean,"The HOUSE power went out" or, "The keyboard power went out"?

Where can i find windows 7 x 64 drivers please help mee !!!

Your Yamaha DGX 203 Portable Keyboard - USB-MIDI Driver Version 1.2.2 ie. for OS Win9x/ME.

Yahama site does not have the Win7(x64) Drivers ie. USB-MIDI for your Keyboard Model DGX-203

But you can try the USB-MIDI Driver Version 3.1.0 for Windows(R) 7/Vista/XP 64bit for Model DGX-520 @ http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/digitalkeyboards/dgx_series/dgx-520/?mode=model

I can't assured you that it will works on your system. Since your Keyboard is no longer in production, I doubt Yahama will provide you with the official USB-MIDI drivers for your Keyboard even you requested for it.

I guess this is an option you can try and hope it works & good luck.

Regards.
