Question about D-Link 802.11g Wireless Router WBR-1310 (WBR1310)
I have an HP Desktop XP computer and a Speedstream 5100 router and AT&T DSL Elite. I recently bought a HP laptop with Vista Home Premium. A professional tried to hook up a home wireless network using a D-Link WBR 1310 wireless router. The system works but keeps dropping off and I have to unplug the wireless router and replug to find the internet again. This happens with the desktop and the laptop. Can?t rely on the internet being accessible when automatic updates try to run. They have come back twice and finally suggested that maybe the wireless router was not compatable with the DSL router. Can you offer any advice on this problem?
So you have a DSL modem connected to a router connected to a wireless router connected to both your computers? Sounds like you need to just get a wireless modem and throw all the routers away.
