the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)

First install the software belonging to the camera, so the compute knows what to do when you connect a camera. Then connect the camera and you can transfer and edit your photo's.

No, probably not. If you've taken more photos since then, then DEFINITELY not.

When they're deleted from the camera, they're deleted forever.

Don`t you have a SD/SDHC memory card in the camera .In review picture mode select copy & send photos from internal memory to SD card and then delete internal memory for fresh space

Try using a separate card reader to download your pictures.

Transfer Photos from favorites to PC?

Hi I am sorry to say sounds like you have deleted them , the menu favourites is not a separate memory it is just a prefix for the camera to find your favorite pictures .. so if you have erased them I think all you are actually seeing on the camera are the saved thumbprints to favourites with the address on them so the camera knew where they where stored .. But you have deleted them so they wont show in the cards directory as they are no longer there . To doubly check my theory please check your available memory on the card and work out how many photos it can store and what space is available .. and would there be space for your pictures on the card if they where still there for example .. card size 1ghz
each picture in Bmp format uses approx 500kb in jpeg or jif format approx 250 kb so multiply the number of photos you took by 250 or 500 depending on what format they are on the camera . take the available space stated and the maximum space available and deduct it from the greater , then tally the amount left with the amount of space needed for your photos . if it correlates then they may just be there in a hidden file if it doesen't then I am afraid you have lost them .. if it seems they are there in files on your computer activate hidden files view and you just may find them .. but I seriously doubt it .. always save pictures to Computer before deleting them from any directory on the camera as when moving them from directory on camera it sometimes only re categorizes them as the camera has limited space .. Problem transferring photos to computer

Bypass the clumsy software and USB port altogether: see if you can upload to your computer using a CF card reader.

If it works you'll get quicker uploads as well, and if it doesn't work then you have a faulty CF card and will need to try reformatting it (in the camera, not using the pc!) or will have to replace it.

Another possible solution is to reinstall the KM software to your computer as the KM software is quite buggy and seems to corrupt quite easily.

are using the kodak software to transfer? your default maybe microsoft and doesn't recognise the video. go to windows explorer - my computer. in there (with the camera hooked up and powered up. cancel download. in my computer you should see the camera on the left as a drive/storage device ect. double click and you will see your photos and videos. select all (control/a) and copy to your hard drive in your favorite spot. Don't forget to back up photos to cd/dvd as hard copys! just incase :)
you mayneed to reinstall the kodak software to do it in auto.
