Question about Canon SELPHY ES30 Thermal Photo Printer

Unable to resolve 'cartridge has been changed' error message

After turning my selphy on after 6 mths, 'cartrige has been changed' message appeared. I've tried changing to a new cartridge and turning on and off and trying to change the printer settings, but the error persists. My Selphy ES30 was fine until suddenly this message appeared. Any help gratefully appreciated....

Turns out the wrong paper size was selected in the print setup. I set it to Postcard (4x6) and it began working perfectly again. Hooray.

Black Cartrige Missing

Did you use a brandname ink cartridge - or is it a knock-off brand? If it is a brand name - then the cartridge is most likely defective. If it is a knock-off brand - some printers do not recognize the electronic in the cartridge and therefore don't see it as one being installed.

Lexmark 6170 Cartridge Error 50C How to resolve?

"Error 50c". They do, however, mention a "Cartridge Error" on page 52 of the manual. They claim this means that the printer has detected a short circuit (fuse/resister) in the cartridge. As you may or may not have noticed in the manual, this is what they recommend doing about it:

1) Press Power to turn the printer off.

2) Lift the printer cover/lid (scanner unit) until the scanner support holds it open.

3) Turn the printer on.
The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.

4) Remove the color ink cartridge.

5) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.
If the error message displays again, replace the black cartridge with a new black cartridge.

If the error message does not display, repeat steps 1–3 and then go to step 6.

6) Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black ink cartridge.

7) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.

If the error message displays again, replace the color cartridge with a new
color cartridge.
If there is no error message (indicated by flashing lights), repeat steps 1–3 and then reinstall both ink cartridges.
8) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.

If you get the error message again, while both cartridges are installed, replace both of the cartridges.

Basically, what they want you to determine is,....if the short circuit is with the "black ink" cartridge or the "color ink" cartridge and then replace the cartridge that has the problem.

You may have to buy a new cartrige.

Hi there Error 50c
This is for yours.

6) Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black ink cartridge.

We have a dx8450, 6 mths old, lost manual, it wont print and says turn off and on again, then read documentation!

Disconnect it from the computer.
(If you still can access the menu for changing cartridges, remove and check the cartridges for packing materials).
Turn it off and check for any obstructions inside.
Turn it on while still disconnected from the computer (do it at least 3x).

If the error message still shows, contact manufacturer ASAP for warranty option.

MFC 210c Unable to Print Use Troubleshouting and routine maintenance chapter in Users Manual

My color has not worked well in the past few months. Now I get the message Unable to Print, Use Troubleshooting and rountine maintenance chapter in user's manual. I've tried everything it told me. I've removed all ink cartridges and left them upright (they are ALL brand new) and cleaned all the ink ports. I've cleaned the machine several times. It's told me there's no ink cartrige, I've replaced them, turned the machine off and on, unlplugged, etc. Then go to print and I get the same message again and it won't print. The machine is almost 2 years old and has worked fine until about 6 months ago when the magenta stopped working all together. Now this. Any help? Thanks.
