I put in a new water pump and now I can not get the water filter reset light or the Ice Lock to turn off. I have water to the door but I am not making any ice.

Thanks for your try on this but I have done all those things. I have a new water filter in there. I have in the past reset the water filter light, the lines are not frozen, I can not get the Ice Off light out nor will the water filter reset light go out. I have turned everything off, taken the water filter out, disconnected the new water pump, then put everything back together and I still get the same lock outs. Is there a "reset" switch hidden somewhere? I have followed the advice of the manula which says to hold the water button for three seconds to "reset" the water filter. That does not work. For the Ice Off light the manual says to hold the Ice Lock button for three seconds and all that does is turn the ice lock on and off.

Ooh sounds like an issue... try unplugging the fridge to get the lights to shut off then plug it back in to attempt to "reset" the fridge or if there is a reset button click it... then make sure the water tubes going into the fridge ar econnected properly... if not there wont be any water to freeze to mak you ice

Hi
if u cant make the ice, chek the water filter . That will fix the water dispenser,if the ice maker still not working.chek whether the water inlet tube was frozen or clogged or not. Aparently, when the filter was clogged the water came in so slowly that it froze before it got to the icetray. try pouring hot water over the inlet tube to melt it,if u still find some ice in the tube further back , defrost the freezer so all the ice could melt and turned it back on.ice maker will strat workin.

For Resetting your "change filter" light:

Press the light switch (the one that the refrigerator door presses every time you close the door) 5 times within 10 seconds. OR
If the fridge has a filter button, press and hold it for 5-10 seconds.

For the ice lock to turn off, chek this link throughly

Water Filter Status Light and Filter Reset
The filter reset control allows you to restart the water filter status
tracking feature each time you replace the water filter. See "Water
Filtration System."
After changing the water filter, reset the status light. Press the
OPTIONS button to enter Options mode, then press LOCK to
initiate the reset, then press MEASURED FILL to confirm that
you want to reset the status light. When the system is reset,
the "Order" and "Replace" icons will disappear from the
display screen.
These instructions can be found in the=> GZ25FSRXYY2 User Manual . As for the dispenser and ice dispenser problem this could be related to a loose connection in the door where wiring attaches to control panel and/or where door wires go from door to cabinet also a defective pressure switch where glass is pressed to get water or ice. Can you tell me when this additional problem began?
I am here should you need me, Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911

How to remove/replace the water filter

Hi there,

If the light on your refrigerator is green, you don't need to change the filter. If it's red, then it's time to change it.
Next, locate the filter knob at the base of the refrigerator. Turn it 1/4 to the left and then pull out the filter. Put in the new filter, then lock it by turning th knob back to the right.

Reset the indication light inside the refrigerator by pushing it 5 times within 10 seconds. The light should then turn green again.

Page 20 shows how to unlock the dispenser and reset the filter light and I have pasted them here.

There are products at Lowes or Home Depot near the appliance for odor removal, I like to put a bowl of cotton balls on a couple of shelves, soak the cotton in vanilla once a day. The odors will be gone in a couple of days.

The warning light to reset filter came on. I've

Resetting your Refrigerator filter indicator light after changing your water filter Some people are not aware that after you change your refrigerator water filter, there are two more steps that should be taken to complete the water filter change process.
Step 1:
Reset your water filter indicator light - Most new refrigerators come equiped with an indicator light that notifies you when it is time to change your water filter. This light does not automatically reset when you change your water filter. Here is a list of refrigerator manufacturers and how to reset the indicator light.
Amana Refrigerators - Press and hold the Auto and Dispenser Lock buttons until the water filter status indicator light flashes.
Frigidaire Refrigerators - Press and Hold the Reset Button Until the Indicator Light Flashes.
GE General Electric Refrigerators - Press and Hold the Reset Button for around 8 Seconds.
HotPoint Refrigerators - Press and Hold the Reset Button for around 8 Seconds.
Jenn-Air Refrigerators - Press and Hold The Light and Lock Buttons until the Water Filter light flashes.
Kitchen Aid Refrigerators - Press and Release the Light Button 5 times Quickly.
Maytag Refrigerators - Press and Hold The Light and Lock Buttons until the Water Filter light flashes.
Samsung Refrigerators - Press and Hold the Ice Type and Child Lock Buttons at the same time for 3 seconds.
Whirlpool Refrigerators - Press and Release the Light Button 5 times Quickly.
Step 2:
Flush a couple of gallons of water through your new filter. Since most refrigerator water filters are made of carbon, some carbon residue is present in the first gallon or two of water. This will leave a bitter taste and residue in your water. If you continue to have these problems after flushing a couple of gallons through the filter, it is possible that you have a defective water filter.
Once these two steps are completed, you are all set to enjoy great tasting ice and water through your refrigerator. If you don't see your manufacturer listed or the insructions don't work for your model please post a comment with your make and model number so that we can provide exact instructions for your model.

the indicator light can be reset by holding down on the 'lock' button and the 'water' button simultaneously for three seconds. Sometimes, it is the 'lock' and the 'light' button you need to press down on simultaneously for three seconds in order to reset the filter indicator light.
