Question about Craftsman 3 gal. Air Compressor, 1.5 hp, Horizontal k
I have a portable air compressor and when I was using it, it all of a sudden quit pumping air and the motor still ran. I took off the vent cover and noticed the Fan Blades are turning backwards. It is sucking air instead of blowing air now. I disconnected the air lines and blew air through them and there were no obstructions. I cover the holes to draw air and the fans started to turn in the right direction, but quit and went in reverse again. What is causing this air compressor to make the fan blades go in reverse?
It is an older air compressor and I believe it's an Ingersol Rand with a 2-3 gallon tank
