Question about JVC KD-LX111 CD Player

Open Question

JVC KD-LX111R won't stay powered on

I have just bought a second hand JVC El chameleon. It powers up but then switches off after about a second (enough time for the front fascia to move up/down).

The head unit i replaced had no issues with earth etc so i dont think that i have problems with my earth lead.

When i first plugged it in it stayed powered on for longer and came up with err 32 which i believe is due to the front fascia being stuck; however this has not happened since.

Is this fixable or is the head unit knackered??

SOURCE: jvc kd lx111 deck wont eject cd

I just had this problem today and when I attempted to eject the CD it would give me an error message that stated (ERR 32). Apparently this means that there is something blocking the movement of the screen, a little manipulation should help the issue. Another variable could be the Eject lock feature, essentially a "child lock" for your disc. When this lock is activated it prevents the CD in the deck to be ejected. You can change this by holding down the blue source button and the eject button simultaneously for about 2 or 3 seconds. A message should appear saying "No Eject" and one that repeatedly flashes "Eject on" These two things seemed to help me alot when I had this issue. If those things don't work I would recommend calling JVC, much to my suprise they were actually really helpful. Their number is 1-800-252-5722.

Try connecting the yellow wire to a constant power source. That is, a source that still has power when the key is turned off. The yellow wire controls the memory of the radio.

Check your wires they might be touching steel around your car mostly look at your yellow and red wires those are the 1' that give it power and light to your radio also check your radio fuse in the back.

JVC KD-G245 - powers up, then turns itself off after 3 seconds

Try connecting battery and accessory wires as one instead of two seperate wires (yellow and red) had same problem and worked for me(it will not be neccesary to turn the key for the radio to work once this is done)

Power will not stay on

Sounds like you're not getting voltage on the accessory power lead. This is the red wire at the back of the deck, and it supplies power whenever the key is switched on. It's possible that your vehicle's radio fuse is blown.
