Go to control panel, classic view, bluetooth. self explanitary from there, unless ur dell is like mine and doesnt have the hardware installed!! so youve just got a light that wont do anything

hardware not software! my dell didnt have the actual bluetooth device in it, i had to order it from dell and install it under the removable panel above the keyboard, dell didnt send any how to install guide, i had to google it

mine had a shortcut that never worked and still doesnt now ive got bluetooth think it was alt+F3, but forget that if you have a blue&red "B" on ur start bar (bottom right) then just right click on it then select turn on. but if you havnt got a "B" then you have no bluetooth adapter installed

Try flexing the whole bottom assembly. that is with the laptop open put your knee in the middle and grab the unit with one hand on the corner closest to you and the other near the screen and put enough pressure to "flex " the mobo right after you push the start button if it doesn't start try it the other way... this has been working for my grandsons d600 for 6 months. i tried a new switch board because the guy that sold me the mobo said the plug for that is known to crack and that didn't fix it. good luck ps you will know it has worked when the 3 lock lights go out and the power light stays on.

Dell latitude d600 doesn't turn on

The test Dell advises to narrow down this issue is to remove the battery, hard drive, ram, and optical drive.  Next plug in the a/c power cord and you should get some LED's coming on. If not it points to the motherboard.
