There is an obstruction in the pump
obtain some radiator hose pinch-off pliers from an autoparts store
pinch off the top hose of the pump; lock the pliers closed (this will keep the water in the machine) then remove the pump cover and, repair

HI, this is a sure bet that the impeller in the pump housing is damaged. that sound you are hearing is the impeller. the drive shaft has stripped the impeller. You will need to replace this damaged pump asap if possible.

My fisher & pay keel washer wa37t26gw2 won't drain, I have already tried taking off the drain pump checking it and making sure all hoses clear. When I tried to start a load after draining by removing...

Hello,

Fisher/Paykels are notorious for bad drain pumps. If you hear any kind of squeeling, grinding, chattering, or such while it is drying to drain, you have a bad pump. P/N 479595

If while trying to drain, the water is emptying back into the washer tank, you have a bad or clogged diverter valve. p/n 426862P

2001 crystler town & country fuel pump

The Fuel pump is in the tank. The only thing I disagree with in emissionwiz post is whether to drain the tank or not. Chrysler started putting drains on the tanks in 2000 to make this easier when they went to a plastic fuel tank. I would drain the tank from the drain, disconnect the wiring then drop the tank to replace the pump. This all assumes that you verified that the fuse in the interior panel is not blown and the fuel pump relay in the power distribution box under the hood is still good.

I accidently put diesel in my John Deere riding lawn mower. How do I safely drain the tank. Or do I need to take the tank completely off? If so I need directions.

If you did not try to start it, you will need to siphon, pump or **** out the fuel tank. The last J.D. that I emptied the tank in I used a turkey baster to draw out the bad fuel. I guess you use what you got. Hopefully your fuel is pumped to the engine and the fuel line goes into the tank from the top. If so all you have to do is empty and replace with gas. If the fuel line drains the tank from the bottom and/or you tried to start it with diesel in it you will need to (after emptying the tank) remove the fuel line from the carb. and direct it to a container, remove the bowl nut of the carb. to drain carb. be ready to clean up a little spilt fuel catch if you can or have rags under and ready. Turn the ignition key for engine to turn over to operate the fuel pump and clear the line. Put a little gas in tank and flush fuel line by using fuel pump to clear. Change fuel filter and put everything back together. Remove and clean/replace spark plug. Test it. Inspect spark plug again if necessary.

Wont switch tanks

Try cleaning your fuel lines, fuel pumps if seperated at the tank, and fuel filters. If you have ever run out of gas in either tank, sediment from the bottom could have clogged the lines. Pump float might be stuck on an inner cavity or drain line inside tank. It may be switching, but if the float is stuck on something inside the tank, it will say it is empty when it is full. Tell me if this helps. I have recently replaced the entire fuel sys in my vehicle.

Log splitter how to flush hydraulic system

removing hydraulic oil from the system
  • fully extend the cylinder. and shutdown.
  • remove the one end of the hose that is from the rod end of the clylinder.
  • two ways you can go here. either: detach the one end of the hose that is attached to directional control valve and leads to the cap end of the cylinder and place the end in a pale then retract the cylinder by physically forcing the rod back in and all the oil will drain out of the cap end into the pale and the rod end will fill with air.
  • or u could hold the directional valve in the position to let the oil flow back to tank while physically forcing the rod back in. the oil in the cap end will drain to tank and rod end will fill with air.
  • drain the tank of oil.
  • if you wanted to be extra thurough remove the remaining lines and drain the oil out of them.
  • reattach all lines.
  • replace oil filters/strainers. should be one on the return line going to tank. and one on the suction line before the pump. But there may not be a second filter.
  • fill tank with new oil.
  • extend the cylinder using the pump. allowing the air to bleed off the rod side. may chatter at bit while extending. if excessive chatter remove line end to allow the air in the rod side to bleed to atmosphere and continue till fully extended.
  • reattach line. probably a good idea to run a couple cycles.
  • and repeat the entire process for a thurogh flushing.
  • ! note: dont be dissconnecting lines with pressure in them or while the system is running.
  • ! note: be sure to have enough oil in the tank so the pump is not sucking air. this will eventually cause unrepairable damage to pump if sucking air for too long.
  • i just wrote this off the top of my head and ive only worked on industrial hyraulic systems and never on a log splitter before so just keep that in mind. hope it helps

Where is the fuel pump on a 2000 taurus

inside the gas tank. you will have to remove the tank to gain access to it. Some of the tanks have a drain valve on the bottom. If you do have the drain valve, it would be easier to drain the fuel before removng the tank unless it is near empty already.

If you are unsure your pump is bad, have someone turn on the key and listen by the tank for a short 1 -2 second humming sound. If you hear the sound your pump is working, if nothing check your fuses first otherwise the pump is bad.

Only way to completely empty tank is to remove it. there is about a two gallon space between the pump and tank bottom where condensation can build up. You can partially drain it by disconnecting the fuel line and turning the key on. The pump will empty tank (don't run the pump after fuel is mostly empty or it will burn out) Also make sure that hose is secure so that fuel dosen't end up on the ground. After you have finished, put the battery on a charger and bring it back to best charge...Alternator will not and cannot do that.

how much gas you put in?
if its below empty u would have drained the pump out you have to atleast have half a tank now and keep winding engine till the gas goes up the tubes again the tank and the tubes will be dry as a bone
