Question about Sony SLV-N750 VHS/S-VHS playback VCR

110 to 220 conversion

Just moved to Germany and wondering if I can just use a converter plug or do I need a transformor to power my Sony SLV-N750?

You will need a transformer or a voltge regulator for that from 110 to 220.

    you can have them both, but if you have any other still other appliance that is 110 you can also plug it in there.

If this unit is 4-7 years old then TOSS it. As time goes by the rubber gets soft and the units timing gets whacked. Repair will be more than what it's worth , unless your emotionally attached to it ...

CAN'T SET VCR (SONY SLV N750)TO CH 3 OR USE MENU

in brief, connect antenna, plug in vcr, turn on. if ch3 is not auto tuned, it can be manually set from the instructions in the owners manual.

Take-up reel in Sony SLV-N750 doesn't take up.


The idler assembly is not engaging the takeup reel correctly. Examine the gearing between the hubs for debris. There are parts available for this deck, but it is difficult to say whether or not you actually need any. Check for the debris first and let me know what you find.

SLV-N750 compatibility with DTV signal


As long as your cable company converter box is feeding your VCR, you should be ok. The cable box should convert to analog which is what your VCR records.

Remote control code


That doesn't sound quite like the usual procedure for programming a universal feature on a remote. Should have to put the remote in TV mode, then press something to get it into programming mode, then put in the code for your particular TV.
