Question about Konica Minolta Magicolor 2530 DL Laser Printer
I just got the "drum low" message, but the printer is working fine and copies are good. Is it OK to get the fuse reset kit like the one's sold on ebay and continue using the old drum? I see drum kits on ebay too. Should I go that route? thanks, ken
The drum loses its ability to accept the image after a fair number of copies
A lot of machines monitor the drum voltages required to obtain a good print and when they go out of tolerance the report the error as Drum Low
It is telling you that the drum is on its last legs before it stops printing
Make sure that the Drum Kit is a complete unit with cleaning blade etc and follow any instructions such as wiping the drum with a bit of the toner powder before it turns.
This acts as a lubricant and stops the cleaning blade from digging into the drum surface when the machine first rotates
