To descale the machine there is a auto descale function on the machine using the double ellipse button. Hold down button for about 5 seconds display will read descale(prepare solution first). The rest is easy just follow the onscreen instructions.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why does my machine say decalcify what does it mean

It means you need to run the decalcification program - basically run some solution through the machine and then flush it. Full details are available in the instruction manual.

My gaggia titanium reads"decalcify" what does it mean?

To cancel the message, press and hold the water button for 5 secs, until the message is clear. The machine is due for descaling to clean the boilers.

Gaggia coffee machine decalcify how do i fix it?

This is only moderately complicated, but does require several steps. DO NOT use vinegar. You can find the manual online at:

What does Decalcify mean?

You can download the manual for free. Search for the manual.

If you want to decalcify, then you need to get decalcifying solution. The button with two circles is the decalcify mode. Press that, and the unit will go through it's automatic decalcify. There is a specific procedure to best decalcify superautomatic machines. Please search for that.

After this is done, the decalcify message will not appear. It is on a preset schedule, not an actual measurement of how much scale is in the machine.

Although you don't have to decalcify, it is recommended, especially if you live in an area with hard water.

What does Decalcify mean?

Decalcifying is the process of removing calcium deposits that occur during the use of the machine. You definitely want to take care of this as soon as possible as these calcium deposits will clog the small water lines and my inhibit your ability to froth milk, may affect the taste of your espresso, and may adversely affect the boiler, causing it to fail as a worst-case-scenario. There is an inexpensive product called Cleancaf by Urnex (~$11.00). The prouduct itself will give you specific instructions on how to run it through your machine. It's almost entirely automatic on most machines. Hope this helps!
