Zen vision mp4 player frozen

I bought this product a year ago from Amazon, but I cannot find the receipt.
The player has frozen out.
Any ideas what I can do?

This might work: leave your device overnight, so it wont have any power. Then charge it then. Hope this works. :)

My zen won't power off


Some ideas
  1. First, try a reset: Insert a paperclip into the reset hole at the bottom of the Vision
  2. Or, try running off mains power, not battery (in case you have a dead battery)
  3. If you're able to get in to the system, try going into Recovery Mode (see below)
Otherwise, if you have a dead unit, consider returning it to the place of purchase, or contact Creative to get your machine repaired. If the Zen is less than one year old, you should be able to get it repaired under Creative's warranty. Creative zen vision :m 30gb wont turn on


if you don't have the kind of charger that goes directly into the dock connector, the zen vision needs a 5V charger ( it happens to be compatible with the PSP charger). if you just plug it into a usb cord it will not charger. you may also need the little white adapter piece the goes into the dock connector. i know only one place that sells older creative zen accessories and repairs creative zen visions . if you have all of that: i assume you pressed the little reset button on the bottom, it may just be frozen? if that doesn't work and you are sure you're charging it right, your logic board is dead.

It's permanently frozen


Sounds like you have a bad hard drive and will need to get it replaced. You should take it to a technician, or if you feel confident enough, buy another hard drive and install it yourself.

You should get support no matter where you bought your player. The Serial Number on the back of the player allows Creative to trace the player. I bought a Zen Vision M from Amazon in the US and had it shipped to an address in the US. A friend collected it for me and brought it home to me in Ireland. The Hard Disc failed after about 45 days and I emailed Creative Labs Europe and they set up an RMA, I shipped the player to them and they sent me a brand new player.
