This is a software loading issue, this is the same as when a computer will not boot up, DVD players use very complex software to read the information encrypted on the disc, chances are very good that there is a problem with the circuit board that reads and translates the disc info to useful information, with DVD players as cheap as they are now it is not worth fixing, u can replace it for less cost than any repair, they will ask at least $75 just to do preliminary diagnosis.
Hi there,
on case like this it seems that your unit optical lens has the problem.
try to clean the optical lens using a disc cleaner, sometime cd player wont play disc because of dirty or dusty lens.
Hop this initial info helps.
let me know for any clarifications
you don't have to remove the cover of the unit to clean the optical lens. the one thing you need was the cd optical cleaner. all you have to do is place it on the cd drawer and play it while cleaning the lens.
Hope this initial info helps
it seems that the unit has a mechanical problem, a possible fault is a disaligned gear or worn belt inside the unit. try to check the unit for any of this fault.
