Flames are shooting out of the grill area by the front knobs

When we started our 2 year old gas grill for the first time this season, we noticed that flames were coming out of the grill area from underneath and were coming up by the front know area. What would cause this and how can we fix it?

I have had this happen & it is because your tube is clogged with a spiders web, I can about guarentee it; this happened to me 2 years in a row. Simply turn off the propane & disconnect the tank.....take off the grill grate & flame hood ....remove the tube & look inside it & see if its clogged....clean & put it back & everything should be fine.

Your Grill needs some servicing, may be because you used it again after two years the pipe got choked, because either dirt is gone into it or something else is stuck, which needs to be cleaned.

My sears gas grill is about 2yrs old. have never gotten a high flame. replaced regulator and tank. same problem. takes a long time to heat up even with lid closed.

Have you replaced the burners? Sears and big box stores (Home Depot/Menards, etc) have generic replacement kits. Pretty easy instructions. I change mine each season. Hope this helps.

My Weber gas grill is less than a year old. The

gas regulator make sure all burners are off when you connect bottle... the units have a leak sensor and will stop the gas coming out because it thinks you have a leak when you connected the bottle. now try hooking up the bottle again with all the burners closed incl. the side burner and the infa red. It will work o.k. then

Lighting Problem/2 year-Old Ducane Grill

Do you have enough gas pressure coming out of the regulator and gas valve? You'll need a pressure guage for this.

If yes, try taking out the burners and cleaning them with a wire brush, especially the flame spreading sections.

Gas grill prob.

Barbecue Repair Parts Don't let spiders crawl into your venturis, yearly maintenance part are available. 27897.jpg?qlt=80&cell=325,325&cvt=jpeg If you notice that your Barbecue is getting hard to light or that the flame isn't as strong as it should be, take the time to check and clean the VENTURIS. 27898.jpg?qlt=80&cell=325,325&cvt=jpeg In some areas of the country, spiders or small inserts have been known to create "flashback" problems. The spiders spin webs, build nests, and lay eggs in the BARBECUE VENTURI TUBE (s)obstructing the flow of gas to the BURNER. The backed-up gas can ignite in the venturis behind the control panel. This is known as a flashback, and it can damage your Barbecue and even cause injury. To prevent flashbacks and ensure good performance the BARBECUE BURNER and VENTURI assembly should be removed from the grill and cleaned before use whenever the BARBECUE has been idle for an extended period of time.

Also, when you lite the BBQ, make sure that you turn the gas on at the tank, wait a couple of minutes and then turn the knob on and light the burner. This is to make sure that the pressure is regulated and sufficient prior to lighting.

Hope this helps!

Heater blower motor cycles on and off (frequently). I have a class 2 LR95329 Honeywell Thermostat

The clicking noise is a relay or switch of some sort. You are right about that. I have 2 questions. 1) does the thermostat have a mercury bulb in it? 2) when the fan shuts off and on, does the burner stay on?

KENMORE Gas Grill 141-152210 Kenmore 437 sq. in cooking will only heat to 250 degrees

sudsy, this exact same thing would happen to me every time I changed a tank. I know it's nothing to do with the grill itself. I would have to seat and reseat the regulator hose to the tank a couple of times before it would start heating normally. Your model has 3 burners and I suspect that the flame is real low on each one even on the high setting. Try connecting and disconnecting the tank a couple of times and see if it comes to life. If worse comes to worse you can order a new regulator hose. Part number P3632L. Catriver..post back.
