The problem probably lies with facebook and not your connection. Try in a few days...

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: slow slow slow...! it takes eges to load the facebook page

Try clearing your cache and your cookies. If your PC has been up for a while, try restarting it. Facebook runs a lot of scripts that you don't see which can make the pages load slowly. When I use the Safari browser, taskmgr show 100% when I go to facebook, Firefox runs better for me.

There are two possible reasons why farmville game freezes in your computer when attempting to load it.

First is your internet browser. You can tell if the internet browser is the one causing it. How? When you type facebook.com in your browser, observe if it takes too long before it loads the Facebook log in page. If it does, then change your browser. Mozilla Firefox is highly recommended. Google chrome perform good too for Facebook site.

Secondly is Flash player. it is the one that manage the loading of games with 3d and animation. So if facebook.com loads very fast in your internet browser, what you will need to do is upgrade the Adobe Flash player that is installed in your system. the latest version would be best.

Please rate. Thanks

I installed the panda antivirus for netbooks and computer is so so so so slow to log on on facebook, however if log on to hotmail and then go to my mails on hotmail and then go to facebook, it logs on to...

uninstall the antivirus and install a new antivirus rather than Panda .. check whether the firewall is blocking the sites and making the internet connection slower to open the websites.

Computer repair tech said Linskey wireless caused internet prob

If you are using DSL as your internet connection there is a timeout period that could be setup in the linksys.

In order to change this you need to log into your router and on check on the setup page. You see the timeout option.

Check with your linksys manual for detailed instructions for logging into the unit. If you dont have it, you can always get it from their website.

DSL & Acer Aspire 9410

In your browser try going to tool and then click on options then goto advance. click network and then settings. check to see if your computer is trying to connect through a proxy server cause f it is then click on direct connection to the internet. I have the same problem that it changes without me knowing until I try to load a new web page. Not figured out how to solve completely but it's a start.
Hope this helps

Speed of computer

Try testing the speed, go to this website and see what results you get. It takes a couple of minute so so be a bit patient. http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/ If it's slow, report it to your DSL supplier.

Netscaping

Yes, Netscape 6.2 will work properly with the web page-based interface used in D-Link DSL routers, however, due to problems the browser has loading Java applets and working with Java scripts all of the features may not be visible. Netscape 4.7 does work with the interface, but is extremely slow in loading the various configuration pages. For these reasons, it is recommended to use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or 6.0 to configure D-Link DSL routers. Internet Explorer loads the pages faster and Java applets work properly, as shown below. Note the tree in Fig. 1 (using Internet Explorer), representing the router´s various configuration pages and in Fig. 2, the PPP Connection information. Using Netscape 6.2 as shown in Fig. 3, the configuration tree is missing and in Fig. 4 the PPP Connection Information is not displayed.
