Question about Whirlpool Dryers
Dried my grandson's clothes in my gas drier did not know there was an orange crayon in one of his pockets. My drier drum is now orange. How do I get this cleaned. I tried Clorox spray but it did not work!
You now have hot melted wax coating EVERYTHING, I bet.
First, unplug your dryer, for safety.
Now take some turpentine or wd-40 and dampen a cloth with it.
Scrub, scrub away.
once it's clean(will take a LOT of elbow grease), you'll want to clean up the solvent.
A wash-cloth, dampened with soapy water, will do a pretty good job here.
Finally, leave the machine OPEN for a good solid day/night.
This lets any fumes remaining from the solvent escape.
this is important, if you don't want to blow up your dryer when you next start it up.
