Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Keyboard beeps when any key is pressed

The reason these beeps are happening is because there might be a key that is slightly depressed enough to where its registering keystrokes. Move your fingers all over the keyboard and see if you the beeps stop after you do that. If it still is going on then that means your keyboard is bad and will need to be replaced.

Today, my computer stopped allowing me to type a capital 'p' using the shift + p keys. When I try that now, my computer goes automatically to a windows media player screen. How do I get this to stop and...

Ok try this, check your media player properties. There is option for a shortcut key maybe you set it to run when you press SHIFT + p combination.

Search the media player application the one that runs it, right click it, select properties then check the SHORTCUT KEY entry try to have it blank.

Computer will not stay in sleep mode. It reboots in about 10 seco

The PC comes back out of the sleep mode by input from the keyboard, mouse, or if it's configured in the BIOS, by the network card. If you are connected to other PC's, the network card might constantly be passing info back and forth throughout the network and then it won't remain in the sleep mode. First thing I'd do is check if there is a setting in the BIOS which makes the PC come out of sleep mode by the network card.

The mouse and keyboard can also be pretty hyper. You can sometimes just sit in front of your PC and blow air onto your mouse or keyboard and the PC reacts. Therefore, if you have your PC in a room with a slight draft, it might help to keep the doors & windows closed. Any small vibration may do the job, so make sure the table isn't on top of something that vibrates, even if ever so slightly.

Keystroke on shift 2 is no longer @, but "

There's nothing wrong with your keyboard hardware. You want to change your keyboard layout from english UK to english US.
In windows (I assume your in windows)
1. start, controlpanel
2. regional and language options
3. Set the default input language to English US
4. in the box " Installed services " add a keyboard layout for (English United States)
