Question about Hotpoint 24 in. FDW60 Free-standing Dishwasher
Hotpoint aquarius fdw 60 problem. problem is that it is tripping both the socket mcb and rcd at the main board but not the 13A fuse in the plug. when turned on initially it works fine for a few mins then it trips out and if i leave it on when i reset it at the board it sparks at the mcb which as an electrician indicates to me a fault with the dishwasher. iv a feeling its the heater element. also one time i notices the prewash indicator light flashing for about 20 seconds and then move to the next cycle. the machine is approx 3 years old and never gave any hassle untill now. one thing that is constant is the tripping after about 3-5 mins.
I would agree with you. Everything you say here certainly points to a faulty heating element. The original is fitted with two factory fitted clips so you may need to go to your local garage and get two jubilee clips as they don't usually come with the new element.
