EPSON BX300F won't install print driver. It gets through the download and un zip and then fereezes saying 'installing print driver'. I've spoken to Epson who say they can install files in their Vista machine, so this must be a problem with my computer - Acer Aspire X3200 running an AMD Phenom 8450 triple core chipset. I've heard rumours that the problem is with the Phenom drivers - is this true? If so where do I get new driver for Phenom? I have the same problem but on XP did you manage to find a solution?

I have just got my epson stylus C46 working by just plugging in the USB from the printer and turning the printer on. I didn't download any drivers, vista searches and downloads a compatible driver for you when you plug it in. You may need to make it your default printer by going to control panel, printers, then right click on your epson and make it the default. Hope this works for you as it did for me!

Save the driver to a specific directory. Unplug USB from the printer, wait a minute and plug USB back in. When the wizard detects the new hardware, manually select the dirver from the specific directory. Do not let the wizard search for the driver. You select the driver manually. Good Luck

Now UN-install the drivers and then reinstall then connect printer and check for test print.
