Thank you for your suggestion, Vin. It ended up being a loose wire under the hood. I had even gone so far as to change the door lock component, which didn't work. Seems all my problems with this machine are loose wires.Thank you for your suggestion, Vin. It ended up being a loose wire under the hood. sounds like the door lock mechanism. if this cannot signal it has engaged, to the board, no other function will work (you don't want the washer going with the door open, trust me :) )
Call the manufacture it will be under warranty if it's only 6 months old as the machine will have to be torn down to get to the defective switch, just the top will have to come off if your lucky.
I solved my own problem...
The machine stopped due to either a heavy load or clogged drain. I cleaned the drain (by taking pannel off the front of the machine). Then, the machine wouldn't cycle and it said "door locked" but the door wasn't locked. Basically, you have to let the machine finish a complete cycle (whether or not it actually does anything). Every time the start/pause button flashes, push it to have the machine try to start. This will eat away at the time. Eventually it will finish the cycle and say 0:00. Now it should run. This can take up to 2 hours so be patient!
the dl code is a door lock error, open door and examine door lock assy mounted on front panel.look for a plastic push pin approx 5inches up from square lock assy.if that pin is missing, replace door lock.if pin is there, you could still have bad door lock or loose wire connected to door lock.
hi alot of people have been having this same problem with either the door locking before clean cycle and not opening or it goes through clean cycle and then the door is stuck shut and wont open. You could try this it sometimes works before you press start push the door shut and keep pressure on it i mean lean on the door so your pushing it shut further than it is now then whilst putting pressure on the door try pressing start button again if it then starts cleaning cycle keep pushing door for about a minute then gently let go of the door. This should then allow it to go through clean cycle but remember when clean cycle has finished dont try opening the door strait away as you will then have the problem door stuck and wont open you need to let the oven cool down before the door will open. If after pushing the door shut a bit further you still have problem then the only thing you can try is switching off at mains for 24 hours this should release the lock let me know how you get on ok
