Can't get sound on my Samsung laptop

before doing anything, make sure that you do not have the sound muted.click on the speaker in the bottom right corner, and check your settings, make sure that the volumes are up and that nothing is muted.if you do still have a problem.
Click Start, control Panel, sound, Devices... if this sub menu is grayed out, then you lost your driver for your sound card and you need to re install it again. if it is still there and it is in black and you can see the type of device it is. then leave it alone, it is simply muted.Tony

Hello i have a proble with my speakers they do not

If you are using Windows Vista, or XP: look in the bottom right corner of the screen and you will see a small speaker icon. Click on this. Next you will see a check box for "mute". Ensure this is not checked.

Also, in the search box under the Start File Menu (bottom left corner of screen {windows button} ) go to control panel: make sure that Control Panel Home in the top left corner is slected. If not, select it: then scroll down and click on sounds and hardware. Here you will be able to adjust audio devices, sounds. etc.

After you have made any changes, restart the computer to ensure the changes are made, and test the speakers.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Sound plays on my system but i dont hear it at all.my windows

Let's start by checking
  1. Your speakers are plugged into the green connector on the computer
  2. Speakers have power, are turned on, and volume is up
  3. Check your "speaker" icon on your tray (lower right hand corner of desktop) - to make sure volume is up and not muted.

Sound won't work without the earphones being plugged in

Make sure the speaker volume is turned up and also go into Control Panel, Sounds and make sure nothing is muted and all volumes are turned up. Also make sure the speakers are plugged into the sound jack in the back of the pc. The speakers also need power but since the light is on, it sounds like they are plugged in.

Sound loss to PC computer speakers after a Systems Recovery.

First, check that the speaker icon in your system tray, (lower right hand corner) is not muted by right clicking on it and selecting volume control. If not muted, goto My Computer, right click and select Properties, Click the hardware tab then device manager, left click on the + next too Sound, right click on the device that appears and select uninstall, once it is uninstalled, restart your PC. Let me know if that works.

My lab top is play music with sound

Have you checked your volume control? Click on the megaphone in the lower right corner and makwe sure all sliders are at least 3/4 of the way up and nothing is muted. Also go to the control panel and click on Audio and Sound devices and check each area to make sure settings are good, nothing muted.

I hope this works for you. Let me know. Your rating is always appreciated.

go to the control panel ... first under the device manage in system / hardware check that the drivers for your sound card are installed .... next go to the sound section in the control panel and make sure the proper device is selected fro playback ... make sure nothing is muted ... other things that can mess up your sound include onboard sound disabled in BIOS, bad connections or bad speaker power supply ... also you can test the audio output using headphones
