Re: we want to work with microsoft windows xp

I think that this old card will work with xp, i hope your computer will handle xp though, is there any reason why you are attached to this card?

Re: we want to work with microsoft windows xp

You should have no problem upgrading with this card.  You can find the drivers for it here:

However, you will find it difficult to get support on this old card.  I suggest investing in a new one.  Just keep in mind AGP or PCI.  See the picture below for a visual representation of the difference.  If you have an AGP port (should be brown) on your motherboard, you really should use it, you will notice a marked difference in video response times vs. PCI.  PCIe/PCIEx/PCI Express is only going to be found on newer computers, however, the visual representation here shows the difference between PCI and AGP.  Note how the connections are stacked on the AGP card.

Driver for spectra WF17

I am not sure if the drivers exist. The Graphics card seems old and the last Microsoft OS supported were Windows 2000 and XP. I dont own the card but I believe if you ever installed Windows 7 with the card above installed, you gonna end up with a Microsoft generic driver either from the OS itself or from Microsoft update site. Although that I dont think it is supported on Windows 7, but I would still suggest that you check Nvidia website for Windows 7 drivers for this Nvidia Graphics Chip/Card: GeForce 4 MX460. See if they are available and have them downloaded and set. If they worked, good, but if not, remove them. Please make sure you download the driver needed whether it was a 32 or 64bit referring to your OS installed. Good luck.

I forgot my windows logon password of my laptop. What should i do to get access to my laptop, then?

I think probably the easiest and safest wayfor you is remove your windows password with Windows Password Seeker. I found it at PC support channel last week, and used it to remove the lost passwordwithin 5 minutes. Importantly, the useful tool no need to reinstall Windows. It's worth a try.

I want work with dv500 pinacle in a windows 7 instal . Its possible?

Pinnacle DV500 is supported by drivers up to windows XP only. You can download the driver at this link :
You can try installing the Win XP driver and see if this will run on Windows 7. If not, then your other choice is to run it using Windows XP mode on Windows Virtual PC.
The link below explains what Virtual PC and XP mode is. You can also download the installers there.

The Pinnacle Studio which worked on Windows XP does not work on Window 7. What upgrade software should i get?

I think the best option for you is to Upgrade to Pinnacle Studio 14 which is $0, or Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate, which costs $70. An upgrade is cheaper than buying the entire version which will cost you about $130. The upgrade will work with Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2), Windows XP (SP3).

On the other hand, if a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues, you can right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. This will make it run as if it was running in Windows XP. You can find more about this Compatibility issue on Microsoft website:

Card, Graphic, 128, X800, SE need to up grade the new high end

if you dont want to have to upgrade your power supply. your pc only has a 350w in it.
i would suggest the Nvidia 8800 GT if you dont have a budget or the 8800 GS if you dont want to spend too much.
both run 512mb and are superb for gaming. make sure you get some extra cooling in your pc so as not to overheat, these cards put out quite a bit of extra heat.
both are compatible with the dimension 8400.

Do direct x 10 supports windows xp sp2 ? i'm asking this b'coz i have recently installed it but there is no improvement in games performance or in video >.i have windows xp sp2 installed

Dx10 comes with vista, microsoft doesn't give dx10 to xp, xp has dx9.

you can try this alpha, unofficial dx10, not made by microsoft..

it comes with no warranty of actually working, try at your own risk.

Let me know if you need anything else.

I have installed windows xp service pack 3 but i m not getting the graphics driver

The graphic drivers are usually not integrated on windows XP default drivers, as they only list drivers for few adapters.

After installing XP you have to download video drivers from the Internet.

If the computer is a laptop, or a brand desktop, then you can download the driver from manufacturer website (eg Acer, Sony , HP etc.).

If the computer is assembled, on no brand, you will need to know the motherboard, or the graphic adapter number, or to install a new video card with disk provided.
