Toshiba a300 synaptic touch pad scroller stopped working

Okay, so I have a Toshiba a300 laptop and the synaptic touch pad works but a message comes up and says the device is not working properly. The touchpad still works but usually on the right hand side, if you move your finger up and down, its like a scroller but after this message comes up, that scroller stops working. It eventually randomly starts working again and then stops again, not sure why its happening. Please help! I have A300-17s, my touchpad suddenly stop working, even though its driver is properly installed. Ihave enable every configuration of it. Please advise

Hi there.
The touchpad drivers could be corrupt, try reinstalling the touchpad drivers again.
Go here to Toshiba Support fill in the details of your model laptop and download the synaptics touchpad driver and reinstall it, see if that helps.

Toshiba laptop touch pad click not working

Its possible that "tapping" is off, as yo udont adentify a model or anything its hard to be accurate, normally goto mouse settings , find synaptic touchad tab and then check the detailed settings, you will find a tapping feature.

Your Touch pad Driver is not install or it is not updated. Download your touch pad driver from Acer Driver Download website and install it. It'll surely solve your problem

My synaptic pointing device stop working ..I think

Since you do not specify the model number for your HP laptop one cannot be too specific. On my Toshiba laptop activation and deactivation of the touch pad is enacted by pressing the Fn-F9 sequence.

The actual Function key to press after the Fn key might have the picture of a touch pad on it. Examine tour laptop keyboard.

Acer laptop touch pad suddenly stops working

Many touch pad issues can be fixed by installing the generic Synaptic touchpad driver. Since it's not working now anyway, no loss: http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers

Touch pad not working

That's a sign that the synaptic touch pad needs to be replaced. Eventually they wear out.

MY SCROLL DOESNT WORK ON MY TOUCH PAD

this may be unfortunate, but it's plain and simple. Either SYNAPTICS POINTING DEVICE which can be found 'C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP' on your laptop i corrupted or infected, or your touch pad is buggered. Hope this was of some help and if you have anymore problems just post them.

Synaptics touchpad not working

Have you looked at the Device Manager to see if there's a problem with the touchpad?

Start -> Control Panel -> System -> click on Hardware tab -> click on Device Manager button. Do you see anything that indicates a problem with the touchpad?

Also, you might want to check the BIOS to see that the touchpad is still enabled. I doubt that this setting would have changed, but it's worth checking. When you boot the computer you should see a message that says something like: "To enter setup press XXX" where XXX is the delete key or some other key. Once you're in the BIOS poke around to see if you can find the settings for the Touchpad. Different manufacturers use different BIOS' so I cannot tell you exactly where to look.

Good luck.
